Confused About State of the Game - SOLVED

I thought the big 4 hr patch a few hours ago was supposed to signify the beginning of the "official launch" for 04/04.

However, although I got a small download after the patch, I didn't notice any changes to the game. In particular I still haven't got my Pre-Order freebies like the vanity pet. I assumed I would get an ingame message about it.

My version number also seems wrong to me. Didn't the update yesterday make it v1.0.1?

Oh yeah I also see no options to arrange my subscription arrangement on my account settings. What is going on? Am I still in Early Access and is everything "okay" with my account?

first, the items should be in your mail.
Second, in your account there should be some blue text (which is a link) about selecting a subscription. It should be on the right hand side near where it says what games you have.

This guy isn't very smart and also bought straight from ZOS

Now for the correct answers to your question, this is the release version. There aren't many changes cause pre release was pretty much the same, the patch was just bug fixes.

That version number is for internal purposes, but it is 1.0.1 as for you preorder freebies, you will get them when you enter the code from your game. and that is also the time that you will set up your subscription options.

I am afraid something is definitely not right then...

The only mail I have received ingame is regarding Cyrodil when I hit lv10 3 hrs ago.

I'd appreciate it if a Dev can help clarify/resolve the situation for me.

Unless you bought your copy of the game directly from Zenimax you will need to enter in a new code to recieve your pre order or imperial edition bonuses. In my case I was sent my early access code when I bought the game from the 3rd party retailer. I was just today sent my actual game code along with another early access code and imperial edition code. For me to get my bonuses I have to go to my account and enter those codes on this site. But since we get early access until sunday it is worth it to wait until then to enter the codes since that is when your 30 days of game time will start running down.

Check your Email linked with buying the game. You should have an email from Green Man Gaming with your other codes.

Also there is no need to be rude to somebody who bought straight off the official site, I never heard of GMG until a friend told me about it.

I got a very long code, or possibly 3 different codes from GMG in a not-very-clear email. I guess I should try that. I'd have thought it wouldn't make a difference to when my subscription starts if I redeem the codes now or later. I could just activate the game, and arrange payments from the 06/04.

if you have a physical copy and haven't got the code yet you wont get all that stuff till you do. Mine is still coming in the mail

You get 30 days of sub time with buying the game. That starts when you enter the actual game code. They're giving us until Sunday because of all the downtime of the maintenance especially for the 3 day early access people since they got at most 2 days. It's your choice and I may be wrong but that's they way I interpreted it.

Update:

Yeah okay I've been a bit thick... I missed the first email I got from GMG today which explained the later email. This is the first time I've bought from GMG, so I didn't expect this kinda system.

I have 3 codes, early access, which I've used, main game code, which I presumably should use now and Explorer's Pack code, which should unlock the pet.

Mystery solved. (I think). Thanks to those who helped!

Actually, my answers were correct as to where his items should be and as to where to find the option to set up the subscription. Many folks look for the option on the left side of the account page where billing history and other options are located.

Actually, they did a post and early access time will not end till Sunday even if you enter your codes now thus your 30 days will not start to then.

OP sorry to hear you still have not received your items. I hate to ask but by any chance did you create a character and take items out of your mail then delete the character? I know you said you did not receive them but thought I should ask just to make sure it was not another issue that is causing your problem. Especially, since they posted that people who did not purchase from ESO had received their early access bonuses at the start of early access even though they were not suppose to receive them till they entered the second code. As I do not know if you preordered the imperial edition and had 5 days or the standard with three they could have fixed the issue with giving people their items early when the servers went down before the start of the 3 day access period. Oh and I just ignore the rude posts as they usually just need to make them selves important so do not worry about him.

Glad to see you have your items. Never heard of a 3rd code must have been something GMG did? Personally, I preferred the simplicity of just ordering from ESO directly especially given the issues people have had with some of the retail stores and third party vendors with codes not being given when the should have or codes not working etc. I know I first ordered from GS the day they announced the editions then canceled the order and went to ESO as soon as it was apparent there would be an issue with preorders not through ESO directly
