Is the twitch drop the Ouroborous crate? If so, I've got one and I've never set "foot" on twitch...

That would have been the "we're sorry we ****ed up" crate from when steam was down I think

Or possibly from when login rewards were borked at the start of last month.

It's their standard apology crate. If Zeni approaches you with an Ouroboros crate, you know it's about to admit to some wrongdoing. It's the Zeni version of flowers from the gas station :D

It's not done so intentionally. We're working on a better way to communicate our schedule for Twitch Drops so everyone knows when they're enabled and for who. Current thinking is to publish a monthly article on the website (similar to the Crown Store Showcase) that outlines the Drops schedule for that month.

Can you please try to let folks at your end know that deaf gamers are a thing, and we'd like an accessible platform to get new content excitement and possible crates? I know I am not the only one who wants this :)

And what was I supposed to do to get crates from the last ESOLive Twitch? If there were instructions I missed them because I am hearing impaired. I am happy to tune in for screenshots/video and maybe will be able to lipread a bit from the presenters, but it's not great, especially if I'm missing instructions to get crates and other giveaways and stuff :)

Personally, I just feel bad for these streamers.

Seeing these streamers had viewer boost and then got their partnership which is great for them, but now once the crates promotion ended, these streamers are just like less than 50 viewers for almost every channel.

Reading their stream title makes me feel bad for them even more, something like "we have partnership now, sub badge. YAY, let's push for partnership "..e.t.c. Cause we all know these viewership is just illusional. It's like seeing a kid get their 1st sub and it's from their grandma.

But I tuned in for the last ESO Live, and I didn't get any crates. Possibly I wasn't supposed to get any crates - that is actually fine. But since I am deaf, if I tune in you need to TELL ME IN WRITING whether crates are "tune in and get crates" or "random chance of getting crates" or "do this to get crates" - I expect this was said during the broadcast, but I CAN'T HEAR IT and I'm sat there throuhgout the entire thing like the world's biggest idiot thinking if I watch it I'll get crates, because I can't hear anything, and the news article (which was the only thing in writing) made it seem like if I watched I would get crates.

And by the way, I am not saying this because I want crates now.

I'm saying that your communication for future events needs to be clearer and more accessible.

(And please put up a subtitled version of ESOLIve afterwards, pretty please - any sort of automated subbing is a horrible mess).

Link your ESO account to a twitch account then watch a stream.

    It's basically random.

Please point me to where it is communicated in text that it is random. The only text info I have ever seen is basically tune in and get crates.

Think about if you were deaf, how would you know it was random - if someone said it on the twitch stream, you wouldn't have that information.

Because some people get it and some people don't for watching the same streams at the same time, as shown in this thread?

You don't really need to hear that to figure that out.

I, for example, "watched" the stream of a guildie for a gold giveaway and got an email a few days later that says I got a Twitch crate.

You don't actually need to watch, just have it in the background and you'll be emailed about it when you get one.

No, the info is not really out there, but it's not really out there for anyone deaf or hearing. It's not as if you're the only one in the dark.

Here's the original article about Twitch drops.

"When Twitch Drops go live, you'll have a chance to receive a Ouroboros Crown Crate at the end of a supported stream (not during). Should you win, you'll receive an email letting you know. You'll then be able to find your new crate within ESO's in-game Crown Crates menu, and it can be opened like any other Crown Crate. You can read more about Twitch Drops on help.twitch.tv."

    Hope this helps!

Where has it been stated, before the ESO Live stream, that it was random. I want to see that in writing. It's not as if I am asking for the invention of time travel.

Thing is, a lot of people who can hear think things should be "obvious" to those who are deaf. A lot of people who can see think things should be "obvious" to those who are blind.

What is is that you gain from arguing that I shouldn't have the same access to ouroboros crates as you? There is no monetary gain in it for you. Maybe a small sense of satisfaction that something has been explained to you and I couldn't hear it, so that puts you in a superior position. You'll be superior to me your whole life, you have a whole sense that I don't have. I am not asking you to gouge out your eardrums, I am simply asking Zeni to publish how to to earn Ouroboros crates in text as well as saying at the beginning of a livestream whether it will be random, or click something - it won't affect you negatively if they do so, so why try to say they shouldn't do it?

Where exactly did you get any of that?

No one has heard this information, and I've even said that we're all on the same page here.

So how exactly does that give you the sense that I feel I am superior to you?

Should ZOS be more transparent? Yes, of course they should. But they're not being discriminatory on who's being kept in the dark

My friend and I have been watching twitch live streams all weekend and only got 1 crate each. Now I see it's the most common outcome for people this time.
Other times before that one, we both were getting much more for even less effort. And also saw other people report much better luck.
This drop event was totally not the same, as if something was badly rigged.
    Not cool.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Hey Gina, are you at liberty to confirm/deny:

    1. Do you still have to wait until the END of a stream to get the drop, or can you get it at any point now?

    2. Did you guys actually mess around with the drop rate or A LOT of people were REALLY unlucky past weekend?

    Thanks

I can't speak for Gina (thank God) but regarding number 2, I would expect that as popularity rises and more people participate in the stream, the number of people who don't get Crates will also increase. So, yeah, I would expect a lot more people will be unlucky.
