Query for Devs: Character-bound vs account-bound items, especially fish but also monster items

Honoured Divines,
I love to collect all the varied unique items I encounter in my journeys throughout your amazing world.
Sadly, when it comes to fishing, I am unable to store the unique fish I acquire anywhere but mine own inventory.
Those unique items aquired from monsters also behave thusly.
While I realise that the *achievement* associated with looting said items does not require their retention, and that many just sell them to NPC merchants... I confess I prefer to keep the items also.
As you can imagine, this has meant I ran out of space!
Is it possible please to change the flags on zone-unique fish and monster trophies, from being character-bound to being account-bound please?

Yours Faithfully,
Suedyin Loreseeker (the Hoarder)

It's the achievements that are the issue here - they're character bound so that they can only register the achievement for that character.

This will probably not work. These items are charbound because otherwise they could be transferred in between chars for the achievement.

It would make sense to introduce some sort of furnisher that accepts cash and a full trophy set of any kind to create a fully prepared trophy display for housing.

This was part of an intentional change to trophy crediting three years ago:

We’d like to provide a little insight and clarification on the upcoming changes to collectibles.

Currently, collectible trophies work differently for those obtained via fishing versus those obtained via monster kills. Fishing trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon item pick-up, whereas monster-kill trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon use. This difference was resulting in a high volume of bug reports and feedback in which players thought the collectible trophies were broken. That combined with the availability being limited by level-range prompted us to make the system more intuitive and uniform. That’s where the upcoming changes come in.

So what do those changes consist of? Here’s a short list:
All collectible trophies will now grant the associated achievement when the item is first looted.
Monster trophies will always drop off appropriate level monsters for your character. A game-wide audit was done to make sure that no matter what level you are, there is always a place you can go to work on collecting the trophy you are looking for.
Collectible trophies can no longer be banked and traded to another character.

My thanks to those that have taken the time and effort to reply; I am sorry for not stating my background knowledge more clearly:

Yes, I remember when that patch was implemented. My frustration has remained daily from then until the present.
I still don't grasp why it was neccessary; I never had trouble with the previous system.

I concur: As I understand the current operation from observed behaviour, the achievement flag is triggered when the item is looted from either the monster corpse or the fishing UI.
For example: Prior to that change being implemented I had stored such items on other characters, but this did not cause them to become flagged either before or after the change occurred.
So... why make them character bound if that is unrelated to achievement flagging?

The idea to create housing collectibles is one I love and have submitted feedback about!
Imagine: A home devoted to the natural history of Tamriel! Banks of aquaria, teeming with every fish known to mer!
(Sadly, I think the Devs have got too much on their plates for this ever to become realistic)

Hence in the interim, I just thought that changing the item storage code would be a simpler step, hence more realistic to ask for. Maybe I posted this in the wrong place?... I am sorry.
