Launcher "Play" button will not work

I have read the threads on how to fix this solution, yet nothing has worked for me. I press play but it just greys out for a couple seconds then goes back to normal. Could a moderator please address this solution, and if they already have could somebody redirect me to it?

BaggierMeerkat2b14_ESOSoul ShrivenI solved my issue by temporarily disabling my realtime shield on webroot long enough to reach the login screen. It seems to be a firewall issue. I hope this helps someone else out!1

Vistrix✭People with this problem seem to either be having their anti virus / firewall software blocking connections or they have a permissions problem.
Try closing down the firewall/anti virus software temporarily to see if this is the cause of the problem.
Otherwise, go to your installation folder and launch the ESO.exe directly in admin mode (right click > Launch as Administrator)Edited by Vistrix on April 4, 2014 2:18PM0
