Zircon Plating PS4

I'm honestly curious if anyone is purchasing the these from guild traders at the moment.
Currently, the going price is sitting at 30k for just one.
That would be 120k just to take one piece of jewelry from blue to purple.
Just seems crazy to me. So, I'm actually curious...anyone buying these things, or is this a case where the market is holding firm on a price point even if they sell or not?

I spent around 400k recently on superior and epic jewelry platings...

this was weeks ago though...30k was a good price then...

I've noticed that's about what they are going for. Chromium Plates are going for at least 100k per as well.
I don't purchase them as I'm not that concerned with upgrading purple rings at the moment, or I'm not that interested in upgrading them at the moment because of the prices. I'll run with my current stuff before I dish out that much coin for upgrades. I can wait until I just acquire the mats (however long that may be) and save my gold for other pressing matters.

Right....question was if players are buying them at that price or not.
The mention of the current price is simply because..... that was the price as of yesterday when I posted this.

If you're saying you thought prices would drop to a more reasonable level as time went on, so did most players on this forum. Also why I asked if the market is just being stubborn with this price point, because it's obvious to me the same players are putting up the same item week in and week out for the same price. They don't seem to be selling to me, that's why I'm wondering why the prices haven't dropped to reflect that to make them more "sellable".

I personally wouldn't - but I also have 7 characters a day running writs - so I naturally farm alot, and the writs also give surveys - so I'm actually able to maintain a very steady source of purple and yellow dust so far. In the coming month I plan to get my other 8 characters doing writs too. Then I will be laughing my way to the bank.

On PC they're about 20k right now. So probably about ~70k total to create a ring and upgrade it to epic, or 60k to go from superior to epic.

I would highly recommend not upgrading anything until wolfhunter hits on console though, they reduced costs.

Lol... it's much easier and cheaper to find garbage purple jewels for under 1k each and decon.. make your own platings. Even with the upcoming cost reduction I've still been enjoying the purple life on a beer budget on ps4 na

This is what I do. Also farm dolmen's for decon jewelry of all types, or solo easy vet dungeons.
Basically, I'm wondering why the price is still so high.
It's been two days since I posted this, and the same listings in Ghratwood are still there. But I'm betting next week, those prices will still be the same.
You'd think traders would go..."These aren't selling at this price, better drop it some so they sell".....they just don't seem to be doing that. It's weird to me.

I only rarely get a purple grain back from deconing, even with full passives.

What we might be seeing on Ps4 is small-scale price fixing and upsale, which is easier to do when there is low supply.

For example, upseller sees plate go for 20k. Knows most are listing for 30k. Upseller purchases and relists for 30k. So that forces the consumer to pay 30k.

I suspect prices will drop when supply increases. I'll be harder for upsellers to fix prices as more average joes start listing at lower prices and people snag those low ones before they have to buy the 30k ones.

Edit: I definitely wouldn't buy at that price knowing it's just a matter of time for the bubble to pop.
