Is it worth it to follow the Stoneskin Dragon build?

StanleyBiz
I recently started playing the Elder Scrolls Online. Right now I'm a level 23 Dragonknight Redguard. And I'm stuck on how to really improve my character.

I'm interested in the Stoneskin Dragon build. But I'm not really sure if that is what I want, because I'm afraid I won't do any damage.
So what do you guys suggest me to do? And how should I distribute my skill and attribute points?

You don't have to worry about until you reach cp160. Use whatever you pick up.

You'll want to take stamina morphs of your skills because redgaurd leans towards stamdps.

Hundings rage crafted set then whatever you pick up.

You don't have to craft it yourself, a lot of crafters will do it for you, often for no cost at all; I have crafted level 34 Hunding's weapons and armor just days ago for someone in Vivec City. Have it in training if you want to level faster (not a given - right now, you can blissfully play as you like and experiment). Distribution of skill points also doesn't matter that much at this point.

That is usefull thanks! But don't you think it will take me a long time before I have the Hunding Rage set crafted?

What platform and server are you on? If you're XB NA, I'll craft a full set of training gear for you and help you get set up. I can also invite you to the social/casual guild that I am in. We are very new player friendly and run a lot of fun events that aren't centered on serious content.

If you are in any capital city zone and you ask in zone chat for someone to help you out with a training set, most crafters will oblige. IMHO, they shouldn't charge as we usually have a ridiculous amount of low level mats. (Tips are appreciated, even something like 5k, but it's a courtesy not a rule).

https://alcasthq.com/eso-stamina-dragonknight-build-pve-wh/ is a great resource for a stamDK DD. Give the entire site a look-see and watch a bunch of his videos. They are aimed at advanced builds though, so I'd recommend finding some walkthrough's that are catered to newbie builds if you want to crawl-walk-run instead.

You don't have to craft it yourself you can get someone else to make it for you.

I suggest joining a guild, they will have crafters available and the often craft just for the materials cost. You can get them to make you training triated items will allow you to level up fasters. Then you will make a new set every 10 levels or so.

People will just be advertising in zone chat....but there is also a guild recruitment section of the forum.

Feel free to nudge me in that case. ^^ And yes, Alcast's build is a good write-up to orient yourself by.

It is a build for the Dragonknight class focused on being a tank. All the info I have got about the topic are from this website:

If you want to try something different then the usualy alcast build, try xynodes builds, they work quite good are kind of unique and the dps is alright

If you are interested in a tanky dps build for PvP I can help with that.(but first you must reach cp 160 for gear cap) Playing a stamDk for about 4 years now. Its not in a great spot for begginners, you will have to learn resource management, animation cancelling, when to block or dodge, how to use line of sight and after learning how to stamDk, you will be able to play pretty much any other stamina class with only minor adjustments. Stamina classes are all very similar.

However if you are into an actual fire themed class, make a dunmer/argonian Dk cause stamDk has nothing to so with the fire theme.

For pve dps stamDk is in a little rough spot for top tier play (used to be top stam dps in trials. Not even picked for trials nowadays) but that should not pose any problems for casual pve and normal/vet dungeons, where stamDk is pretty good, like any other class.

I will probably check them both out, and see which one I like the most. Thank you!
