A macro is binding multiple skills/keystrokes to fire from one key.

If you aren't using one, getting accused of using one probably means either you are very good at landing combos of skills quickly or your opponent suffered from a lot of lag.

It could be.
In my limited pvp experience I usually only get salt from noobs looking for excuses.
When I beat a player that knows what they're doing they normally take the loss and move on.

I do enjoy the salty whispers though

I like to think that every all-caps rant in Covenant chat starts from an exchange like that.

You should totally take it as a compliment, even if it wasn't issued as one.

Also macro is a set of input commands fired off with a single input command. You could theoretically program a button to do heavy attack->wrecking blow->dragon leap->light attack->executioner->bash->/kissthis, for example, but that would both be cheating and, very likely, a bad idea given how laggy this game can be in certain PvP areas.

A Macro is a little command written to one of your keys or mouse buttons. You have a software that when in-game, tells the game to do these certain actions in sequence from a single key. But yes, if you're a legit player accused of hacking then take it as a compliment. Just don't act like it to them in chat, cause some people will actually report you. My otherwise spotless record on Xbox Live has a single report for cheating cause someone reported me once for "DeSyncing" my Lethal Arrows.

It is not a complement. It is probably a player with little experience making an excuse for being killed by you.

This is not being negative to OP, or anyone who receives such a comment but every hate whisper I have received in PvP has essentially been someone making an excuse for them dying and seems to be more that they lack the experience/skill.

It is also not worth replying. It avoids dealing with the weak logic of someone probably still living in their mothers basement.

BTW, macros executing a series of commands can be hilarious when things do not line up in the middle of the sequence. Makes it obvious which also means it is not worth the risk.

macro's are a set of commands to do several things at once, you could even set both bars with ult and have weapon swaps to pull that macro of, zos has not stance on macro's so if you use enjoy and if accused don't even bother with a response

To just correct you a bit, it isn't necessarily software within the game. Macros can be programmed externally using macro "languages" like AutoHotkey, or even through IO libraries for other languages like Lua and Python, to simply enter a certain sequence of inputs when you press the right key. Some keyboards and mice even allow you to program macros, with the macros being saved onto a little memory module within the keyboard/mouse itself. Even some controllers allow you to program macros, similar to keyboards and mice.

Sometimes, it's also players who're not as familiar with the game. Like misinterpreting the death recap with "I got hit by 6 Ice Comets from the same player, that shouldn't be possible".

When this happens to me it just warms my heart. I learned this game on xbox so I still use a controller on pc, which limits how fast you can turn and target opponents. So when people whisper "nice macros" to me when I have physical limitations compared to a mouse and keyboard, it feels good man.

@Mrsinister2 The more I play the more I learn just how many of us there are. Is there a guild for people who mainly pvp and use controllers? If not I might just make one
