Getting Razor Caltrops after gaining the base skill line

Can anyone tell me if the skill line is bugged, I have caltrops already but im not gaining anything towards levelling it towards the morph atm, i dont understand as i have it on 3 other chars i made a while back

Chibs✭✭✭✭Caltrops isn’t like the skill line, you level it with xp instead of ap. You must kill things, complete quests, etc etc with it slotted on your bar0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I've brought two chars up to Razor Caltrops and had no probs. The more recent of the two only got there within the last month or so. So for me on PC NA, I've not had any problems with it. Sorry.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo0 -

✭This was happening on a toon with a diff skill just the other day. It was acting like it wasn't progressing but I would eventually get that message that the skill ranked up. Just an odd glitch.They nerfed magsorcs so hard stamsorcs felt it,lol - Somber97866

✭Seems you figured it out. For anyone who hasn't, when it comes to the Alliance War skill lines:- You raise the skill lines by gaining AP in PvP, not by slotting the skills.
- You raise the individual skills by slotting them.

fgoron2000✭✭✭✭This doesn't appear to be just a Caltrops issue, but is a Skills Page issue, which makes sense because of the huge update made to the Respec system. There's a problem where the actives listed under the Skill Lines don't stay in sync with those on the hotbar when XP is gained. Keep an eye out for this, relogging the UI resync's the progress on the Skill Page, but it doesn't resolve the issue. This has been an ongoing issue since update 19, and I've yet to see ZOS acknowledge it, despite there being several forum threads.
Another problem on the page which may be related to the above, or may be a separate issue, is that the progress bars appear to be missing entirely within the tooltips for the actives placed on the hotbar. At least that's occurring for me, and it's not an addon issue, as I checked it with all addons disabled, and it's still happening to me, as well as the progress for skills being out of sync.
