What is the story continuity for ESO dlc?

I'm probably going to purchase summerset, morrowind, and clockwork city in a few days. What's the storyline like? I'm not done with the main quest, but I thought that after that comes imperial city as a 'last resort for Molag'. But then comes orsinium, I think that starts a new story. Is the order

Orsinium>Morrowind>Clockwork>Summerset?

There isn't a strict linear progression through the DLCs as far as I know. It might be more rewarding to finish the main quest before starting summerset (I've heard that summerset is a continuation of the the main), but as far as I know the DLCs are structured so that they are related to each other, but not reliant on each other to tell the story. So like each DLC is a stand alone story that links together to the others to varying extents.I'm probably going to purchase summerset, morrowind, and clockwork city in a few days. In general, I'd do Orsinium and Dark Brotherhood after you've done the base game.
Orsinium technically has two easter eggs for Clockwork CIty and Summerset.
The Daedric Wars is Morrowind -> Clockwork City -> Summerset, and is definitely best done in that order.
Thieves Guild and Imperial City can be done in any order.7

Pretty much yes. I believe the main vanilla quest/Imperial City finishes up before Orsinium etc., because if you pay attention one of the Shad Astula students from the vanilla zones is graduated in Vvardenfell, so Morrowind happens after that.#proud2BAStarObsessedLoony

No, there will always be a chance that PVP will occur.
I did the Imperial City questline on a low-pop campaign during the day, so I didn't have to fight a single player. Nevertheless, I prepared for PVP with impenetrable gear, invisibility potions, and the knowledge that I might have to fight or hide from other players other players. I'm not very good at 1v1 fights, so if caught, I fully expected to die.
The hardest parts of the questline were the Arena bosses and the Temple District boss. I asked a friend to come and heal me through the Arena fight, just because I was running out of patience and didn't have repair kits on me.
That being said, it was a really good questline and I enjoyed it, even with the constant threat of PVP.0 -

✭I would say not to do them in order. I enjoyed the game more when I went all over the place. Then I wanted to complete the Main Quest and now I regret rushing it. So I say do a little here, do a little there. While it might make the story "weird" by not coinciding, I believe visiting all the areas keeps it fresh.
I know this was how it was done before One Tamriel. You had to complete your "area" first before moving onto other areas. Now that we have the option to do what we want when we want, I say don't hand cuff yourself and just experience a bit of everything.
I know everyone's mileage is different. For me at least I am enjoying the game more now that I am not rushing an area like I did before. I say take your time and smell the roses and do what you want. If that is doing one area or DLC at a time go for it. I just love having the freedom to move any where I choose to.
