PSA!!!!

When you are very, very tired, DO NOT CRAFT NEW GEAR FOR YOUR BUILD IDEAS!!!!

Don't be me and craft a new Inferno Staff of Julianos to go with your set, fully gold it out, only to realize that I completely neglected the fact that I crafted a level ONE staff!!!

I am sure glad I at least cost this before applying the gold enchant I made.

This is a good way to completely waste the last amount of Rosin you have.

I, rather quickly, made enough gold to by the correct amount of Rosin to make another one, but this time i made the RIGHT level staff at cp160!!!

Make sure you get your beauty sleep, kids, it's important you are fully rested, awake and functional for crafting!!!

It happen to me even worst, it was for a friend and he gave me all the mats,and to make matters worse I didn't have any of the gold matts to re-make it so I had to go buy all of the stuff

I golded out a monster helm and then I was in such a rush to transmute it before bed that I transmuted it to the wrong trait.

This in itself could be a cute one time mistake to learn from, but to add insult to injury I forgot I had transferred a bunch of monster gear to a chest and lo and behold the helm with the trait I meant to change to was sitting there already.

certain things being legal in WA state have really cost me a lotta valuable mats in this game.

I've never upgraded anything to gold that I crafted incorrectly. However, I've gone through the full cycle of missing the trait, fixing the trait and making a non set item, and finally getting both right to only realize I made a CP150 item. I don't make those mistakes much anymore, the changes in the interface help and I've gotten more used to it.

I remember right after Launch someone posted a thread about how the game should not allow us to Gold out an L1 anything. Everyone responded that no one would ever do that so the game does not have to protect us from ourselves.

Then you come long 4 years later and prove him correct

Have done something similar before. I didn't notice until I tried to put an enchant on it. I was like what the? Why isn't the glyph showing up in the enchant window...OH crap!

Pro Tip:
You can't add a CP160 enchant to a level 1 item.

Also, if you're playing on PC, you may want to check out this addon:
Dolgubons Lazy Set Crafter. You can queue up level, trait, style, quality, and set in the addon, then go visit the respective crafting station and click craft two times. One to craft all the items, and again to improve to the selected quality.

I was gearing up my DK for tanking and I was going nuts trying to figure out which character was holding all the Bloodspawn helms. Then I realized they were all in my new storage boxes.

I think people shouldn't be able to call themselves true crafters till they have done this at least once.

I suggest saving the item for links and laughs later.

I wish there were a feature that would prevent gold mats from being used on anything under CP160, just as a nice little safety net
