Why am I seeing the welcome screen even when I can't select award?

there might be something to this! i habitually do this because, well, let's just say i'm the kind of guy with way too many newsfeeds. and i haven't really found the pop-up that annoying at all. might just be my stupid patience (it's not always a virtue after a certain point) but it does sound like this is worth a try.0 -

I was talking about the concept of advertisement in general. And there are a lot of things wrong in the world that I don't see constantly, that doesn't mean those things don't bother me. As for ESO: I use the No thank you addon.0 -

✭✭✭✭It pops up on the first character I bring up. But I just select 'exit' and it doesn't pop up again for me, even when bringing up other characters (to pick up mats delivered). Im running the program as Admin all the time but that shouldn't affect things.0 -

im just surprised they havent tried to shoehorn crown store commercials into loading screens yet. the moment they try to do something like that, thats when i'll bounce.
after buying the game, all the dlc's and paying for eso+ subscriptions, i dont feel as if i deserve to be spammed repeatedly 11 times in a 2 minute window just signing into my 11 characters to collect off my hirelings, or every time i go to a wayshrine or come out of a dungeon.
save that kind of garbage for free to play games on android. im a big boy. if i feel the need to keep throwing money at my screen for completely overpriced items, or gamble my money away on loot boxes hoping to get that sweet lookinh mount with a 0.02% droprate, i can mosey on over to the crown store myself. i'm fully capable of that. i dont need to be reminded about it a dozen times every time that i login that i should go spend some more money. the 3rd time you remind me isnt going to change my mind any more than the 12th. if anything, its doing the opposite.
i feel bad for the console users. they probably have no way to combat this unwarranted spam. it must be a real nuisance if you have more than one character.
i dont know if theyve changed it, but before i had the no thank you addon, i would get spammed every time id sign in with a character. then they put out an update which actually broke my no thank you addon. something to do with the rewards system or something. but then after updating the addon i havent gotten spammed since, and thats the way ill keep it, until the day hell freezes over and they give us an in game option to disable their spam, and then i can ditch the addon.Edited by idrankyourbeer on August 26, 2018 9:19AM0 -
