Transmuted jewelry PvP uses

So has anyone come up with a cool setup using transmuted jewelry? Got killed by a Stamblade the other day and had Riposte (or however you spell it) in my death recap. Does that mean he was using Wizards Riposte? Anyway, got me thinking. Someone creative (not me) could probably make some badass setups transmuting Arcane or Healthy jewelry to something more viable for a Stam setup and vice versa.

Anyone have interesting ideas?

Riposte would be a Proc from CP passives.

The wizards riposte set does not proc any damage.

If ur trying to transmutate jewels that are a bad trait. I'd always default to infused. Bloodthirsty has shown various positive applications but they are limited. This is all for damage dealing of course

I was thinking more along the lines of something like transmuting Plague Doctor to Robust or something. Not that set specifically but just the general idea of making a set work a bit differently through transmution.

    Swift is awesome.

Infused plays really well on sustain builds.

Some people have fun with Bloodthirsty, especially on DoT builds that lack a strong native execute.

Transmuting dropped healthy jewelry is pretty much standard practice at this point.

Triune is pretty good on magicka toons in PvP, for the same reasons triglyphs are. Super effecient source of off-stats.

Prisoners and Stygian immediately come to mind as sets that could be much more useful with jewelry crafting/transmutation, though in niche setups.

Fact that StamDK is so low right now sucks. I HATE the Dizzy Swing play style. So I am trying to get creative but drawing blanks.

Swift - but it may not be nerfed, it doesn't show on a recap so QQ will be to a minimum. At best the class that's running it against a noob will.be blamed

    Swift shouldn't be nerfed...

The stats you give up to get it are very significant; I can definitely see and feel the loss of dps/healing strength when I use it...

I think it's balanced just fine...

@Waffennacht why do you like swift so much (and on which characters). I see no reason not to run speed immovable on stam, which is plenty of speed, and on mag, the only classes where giving up mag is doable is magplar and mdk. Everyone else relies on shields, meaning a big hit to survivability and even dmg.

@Brutusmax1mus I enjoy it a lot on my Stamsorc, that way I get 60% speed buff while casting dark conversion

I enjoy it a lot on my warden who's primary focus is on max health and Regen rather than max Stam/arcaneband lacks d removal (so passive + swift may as well be negating a 60% snare completely)

I enjoy it on my Templar when I mist form

And Ive only got the 3 set up for PvP atm

Edit: swift + expedition potion is pretty awesome if you can't get expedition somewhere else

Swift is crazy good on stam characters right now. Combined with lag it (especially with Asian/Oceanic based players late and night with poor connections) and stam are damn near impossible to hit.

Even on a mag toon, its so good that I've experimented with running them on my dk which meant I could drop vampire as mistform isn't so must have with swift, new wings and a major expedition pot for getting out of dodge when needed.

Much as it pains me to say it to a stam player - you really should try out as its just that good.

@Waffennacht is completely right, I've tested swift+expedition pots on several characters and have had positive results in every case. It allows you to play aggressively while outnumbered . My stamsorc can play like a Nightblade by running in with a dizzy/DBoS/Execute combo to pick off a vulnerable target and escaping before the Zerg can respond. It's not intended for dueling but the extra speed does give you some safety for you can kite while rebuffing/darkdealing without letting your opponent get any free hits in. The most important detail that's especially important is that you're running fast without sprinting.

2500 max stat feels like a steep price (About as valuable as a 5piece bonus), but the extra options you get are worth it in a lot of situations.

You really don't think the major expedition pot is enough? I already feel like I'm thinking circles around people when i play stam.

It's not about 1v1, it's about having the power to choose what fights you want to take and which ones you can't. I run solo/very small groups and try to be far away from where the big ball fights are. It's an escape plan for when 20 people decide that they want their resource back or when I get overwhelmed while picking off en-route reinforcements. People also tend to get spread or when chasing a fast target, sometimes you get lucky and they get spread out enough that you can pick them off 1 or 2 at a time.

@Brutusmax1mus I think a big part of why I run them is because I'm not using FM or Shuffle

Swift is OP, and should be go-to for almost all classes and specs. Only no-go that i can think of, is Mag Sorc, due to the heavy min-max focus on Magicka.

    It should probably be nerfed. But i believe Waffennact is correct;

    Swift is borderline broken atm.

I like Triune on my magicka templar for BGs etc. though. Gives me some extra stats to play around with - although in open-world on my magplar, there's no way I wouldn't go with Swift. As an argonian as well, can just pop a pot and your stamina is instantly full, and you can keep swifting away.

It's impossible to catch a stamina sorc with major expedition + Swift atm. They just run way too fast :'D Almost every StamSorc I see these days are running in with Dawnbreaker + Steel Tornado Spam, and then they run away as soon as they can't kill anyone. And so they rinse and repeat that for forever. Such an engaging playstyle :> Although I can see how it benefits people that prefer to fight outnumbered.

While swift is a blessing for non-mobile classes it is heavily imbalanced on classes that are natively mobile. I think the speed cap should be lowered to find a middleground.

The problem with swift is that it makes it even easier for classes like stam sorc or stam warden to just start running away while constantly breaking LOS the moment they feel they can't win the fight. With expedition buffs, 2-3 swift jewelry traits as well as snare immunity from forward momentum they barely even need to actively use abilities to escape. You basically can't fight these guys if they don't want to unless you run swift jewelry as well, which is bad game design imo.

What would you guys think about swift jewelry that doesn't increase speed but decreases the effect of snares instead?
