PvP mutual lockout system

lowlifer

So this is aimed at PvP on console eu, but I guess it can be applied to pc/na.

Currently noticing 3 bars one alliance and only 1 bar for the others. Obviously over population of one alliance will undoubtably score higher. I feel that perhaps there should be a mutual lockout if one alliance is heavily outnumbering the others.

I understand this will cause anger and frustration waiting for other alliances to log on but isn’t that what the other “un touched” campaigns are for?

What do you guys think?

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the idea that I can't play EP (I only ever play EP in PVP) until more AD or DC log on in the mornings.

Your suggestion encourages cross faction play in the name of balance which I don't mind as much, but it also creates problems for genuine faction loyalists, who might be locked out of the only faction they PVP for. That, I have a problem with.

Its much better to weight the campaign points with the number of players in the least pop alliance. This will keep th campaign interesting.

Dynamic pop locks would be soooooooooooo nice.

As a DC player on PC/NA I will always support dynamic population caps.

I completely understand why an EP player would be opposed to it.

I heard someone suggest that campaign points during low traffic hours cost less than during the prime time hours. Either that or have a calculation that accurately supplies points based on population difference. That way nobody gets locked out, but if you are on a lower pop faction you earn more points for your faction, and if you're on higher pop you earn less. If population is all the equal amount whether locked or not then points are evenly distributed.

I guess it can be argued that this could be abused, but it makes no sense to reward any faction for sweeping the map when there aren't many players on the opposing factions.

Granted, we all know end of campaign rewards are nothing to cry over losing at the moment. Would be nice if we got some cool motifs. I just play the game to have fun at this point, and I'm glad they're at least making some changes with PvP in next patch. It'll be interesting to see how the recall stones will be used.

Honestly they should make the emp achievement only attainable in the 30 day campaign

Close down the 7 days and make 4 hour challenge campaigns

You join and your put on any side to keep it balanced ... Best of you pre plan a time slot

You now have four hours to play and beat your competition.

DC is doing this on Kyne PC NA quite a lot recently. A bunch of vet players will log on low toons and zerg the emp keeps with 2 bars pop around 3:00 am eastern time when there less than 8 on in the other factions. They also log on cross-faction alts to fight with themselves after they Zerg the whole map blue most nights just to screw around but never intend to take the keep for the faction they hopped on alts to. Pretty lame and pathetic.

Likely they are tired of playing in a totally skewed campaign and are just having some fun.
When one faction in the main campaigns start purposefully and repeatedly winning by any means possible, a lot of people are going to quickly tire and look for something else to do.
The genuinely shameful and sad thing is, there are plenty players across the different campaigns at all hours - they just don't want to fight other people, they want to fight NPCs for an easy route.

It's a nice cycle, balances itself out. Me and some buddies are swapping to red on our end because yellow has gotten so bland in the campaigns we play. Fresh fights, new areas to kite players to. But best of all a low rank character so people wont expect my civilian magplar to be in fully golded gear and optimized for pvp.
