Sloads patched?

The only problem with Sload´s if patch works as it says it, is that AFAIK oblivion damage is not affectd by battle spirit (this is what people say, sorry if it isn´t the case and I´m spreading misinformation). Admittedly I have not tested it myself, but I used Knight Slayer a ways back and I liked it, seemed to do good damage. If it is true that oblivion damage is not affected by battle spirit that is what needs to be looked at since that makes it essentially a PvP thing only; in addition to everything else people in PvP are likely to have maxed out gear which among other things gives very good mitigation which makes all damage unaffected by mitigation relatively better.

In my experience it is pretty much a law that 40% of a PvP community will use the 2nd most brokenly OP setup while complaining about the 1st most brokenly OP setup. Loudly.

i made a thread thanking zenimax that sloads no longer pulls people out of stealth,
not allowing us to stealth from a D.O.T. is not intended, and the devs commented saying that clearly was never intended.

the damage of sloads is weak, it needs damage buff or it's not worth wearing.

You´re a nightblade main, of course you like the change.

And Sload is one of the best PvP DPS sets (if not the best) in the game. Do your math (or get combat metrics and check how much DPS you get from Sload compared to your other skills in PvP). Only thing I know that consistently out-DPS Sload is the bleed from werewolfs light attacks. Difference is that I´ve to spend 300 ultimate to get access to that.

The changes to Sload is noticeable, but it´s still close to impossible to dodge it from close range, especially since there is no telegraph (compared to a set like Caluurion, which is also an overperforming set) telling you when it fires. Sload need to get a telegraph before it fires of like Caluurion.

Sload's breaking stealth was the only issue I had with the set, and a minor one at that.
Now that that's gone, the damage stacking is the only thing you're complaining about anymore, and if you're fighting enough people that you die from their stacked Sload's procs alone, you were dead whether they had that set or not.

I've yet to meet this fabled Zerg of Sload, and I believe as a lowly Tribune, I can at least brag about that. Both Cyrodiil and the BGs, as a predominant magsorc, stam sorc, magblade, stamblade, magDK, and stamplar player, I can count on one hand how many times Sloads alone has killed me when I wasn't being careless and goofing off. (It's once, my first encounter with it.)

My question is;

Does anyone still slot purge? No?

Oh. Oh well.

i have purge on my front bar and i have allways had purge on my bar, the main reason was from D.O.T.s like poisens as well as the stupid exploision thing from sorcs, you can remove things and keep yourself in good health if you purge stuff, it can win fights for you.
sloads can and will remove if you purge.

He's right to an extent, but I've had it where all 8 people have been against me and several were using Sloads. There's ways to mitigate it. It's all about picking and choosing your battles, knowing your class, and knowing when to bolt when needed. But then again, I build to troll. Judas knows how infuriating my antics can be. :>

Hard CC, Soft CC, superior mobility. That's the only thing that works.

If anyone thinks sloads is fine, find me on PC/EU, @ name in signature, come with a non rolly build or a templar. See how balanced it is first hand. Then imagine it times 4/5?

Hell, maybe even come with a rolly build. We'll test it.

Sload's is basically the highest damage set in PvP, even in a 1v1 with no stacking involved. The only set that conceivably wins is overwhelming surge, and only under ideal conditions.

It may have some effect but it doesn't compare to burst sets like Calurions. PVP is about burst...just Purge the other stuff. And I run a magblade and don't shield.

Hell, the Overwhelming Surge proc hits for more than Sloads even if you have 40 or 50 points into resist CPs..Agree on the conditions.

And don't even get me started on Poisons, which should be completely removed from the game.

I have racked up a lot of Cyro time over past 3 months and I just haven't seen Sloads hit me but 5-6 times. And it was never the kill shot.

Kills shots are generally ani cancelling players stacking for burst, and the significant majority are magsorcs and stamblades. We all know why.
