Got DC from Battlegrounds and got deserters penalty PC NA

As title says i got dc'd and when i logged back in i was kicked out of battlegrounds and got a deserters penalty for it. How is that fair? Now I have to wait 20 mins to get back into BG. Thanks a lot ZOS.

Shadowshire✭✭✭✭@JiDul : ZOS must have licensed the original Battlegrounds source library from Blizzard Entertainment, which originally had the same rude and unfair flaw in World of Warcraft (whether it still does).
By the way, please include the platform and megaserver on which you play TESO when you report a "bug". ZOS cannot investigate the problem without that information. (Please read Guidelines For Bug Report Forum.)

fgoron2000✭✭✭✭This has been happening to me on NA/PC since the first day of Midyear Mayhem. I haven't done any BG's since, but have continued to get frozen and DC'd a lot even through the Wrothgar event, and right into today. So whatever happened at the start of Mayhem appears to still be in play.
As far as the penalty, I also think it's absurd to get penalized for the game throwing you out. IMHO, ZOS should either suspend or at the very very least, reduce the penalties during these events.

First, the reason for the penalty regardless of whether you are disconnected from the server is that a player can deliberately disconnect from the server if they don't like what is happening in the course of play. All the player must do is unplug the computer from the router, wait a few seconds, then plug it in again. Second, insofar as this is probably not a game software bug, maintaining a connection to the megaserver via the Internet is most likley a hardware and/or network performance issue (with several possible causes). So, I recommend that you re-post your OP in the Customer Support section of this forum according to the platform on which you play TESO:
