I saw a jewelry crafting writ selling for 400 gold today. LOL. I'll bet I could find them cheaper than that, too. Nobody wants to waste materials on those.

Sold a jewelry writ Sunday for 25K. It was worth 104 vouchers. I list mine at about 250g per voucher and they sell. Might be able to squeeze 500g per voucher after the update comes to console.

If I saw them as cheap as you have, I'd flip them.

Everyone is comparing their jewelry mat caches to their other mats, completely forgetting that many of us have spent the last 3 years gathering those mats. Calm down...give it time.

Also, Zos isn't responsible for the market values. Those are set semi-arbitrarily by those who control the in-game market (hint: other players and bot farmers, not Zos, which is who you were "screaming" at). If you don't like the prices, stop being lazy and go farm the mats yourself rather than buying them. It's not that difficult.

    Maybe it was mine? ^^

I sell all my jewel writs for about 30g per coupon. I can't stand that crap, the faster they sell, the better. >:)

They should just get rid of grains and add a hireling, and all these problems will go away.

Jewelry mater writs are still a mess. These need to be living documents that change VERY frequent until the market bottoms out on the mat prices or else we are gonna have a system in place for over a year were no one does any of them unless they are clueless on how much gold they are wasting. I have done 90 top tier jewelry writs since the DLC on monday. I run 30 characters a day through writs and held the ones from sunday to do twice on monday with the new loot tables.

1 character knows all 9 traits. 29 know 5 traits.

out of those 90 writs i got 15 master writs. It seems that drop rates are based off traits known only and its about 2.77% chance per trait known.

This is were things get really disappointing. Those 15 master writs would cost me almost 4 million in gold to complete via my MM data. My MM is based off two top trading guilds on NA PC.(AUT and BMW). I'm looking at about 2k per voucher. I would NEVER do these in their current state and i don't see myself doing them any time soon. I really had faith that these would be fix this to make them worth while but the mark has been missed again. I understand there are multiple servers and economies to try to balance this around. I also understand they are trying to make these worth while doing as a long term goal but doing it that way is a real smack in the face to crafters. Why put stuff in the game that people wont do for this long of time? Its already been 1/3 of a year with these master writs being useless and with the current slide in price decline of mats needed for these, we are looking at maybe another whole year before they are worth doing, if ever.

Well now. I got some platings stocked up already from deconstructing and refining. I'm not gathering that much, but still didn't need to buy platings for my writ today. I only have one master jewel crafter and another who makes daily quests with pewter.

I got enought surveys that way to refine a good amount. Yes, it is annoying to have much less nodes etc., but it would be exaggerated to say you would still not have enough platings for one of those master writs.

If you are already planning on doing something else and have some for yourself, then I totally get that, I know that of course from my own experience.
In the end it is just a more difficult decision: "do I want to create my own gear, or for someone else to get a favor?

well, let's take a look at some facts.

    1. I have 15 toons and they have all done and still do the daily writs for rings and neck.
    2. every day at get an avg of at least two survey's, one day I got 8
    3. I have well over 15k of plat in inventory
    4. i've sold over 10 gold for 75k each (lol, most have tried to sell for 100k plus and still generating restocking guild fees) price should not be over 50k period, anyone who buy's them for more than that should start looking and value vs cost
    5. I still have almost 10 gold plats in my inventory (i'll never upgrade any of my rings to gold, that would be useless and not worth the amount of boost you get vs purple)
    6. have enough plating on hand to do at least 50 rings or necks to purple, not counting the ones i've done for myself
    7. I do agree the master writs are useless and have never done any, just put them in a guild bank
    8. I can easy find over 200oz of plat (not counting my surveys) in less than 30 min per day, just know where to look
    9. and yes I glad that they are reducing the amount of plats
    10. so the bottom line is that other than master writs it's reasonable
    11. just enjoy it and smell the roses

    love and kisses to all

Depends what trait they are. 104 vouchers is worth on PC around 88K gold actual (computed by seeing what commonly sold voucher items go for divided by how many vouchers it takes to buy them). A purple ring in one of the 3 basic traits is 70K craft cost, which means that writs got about 18K potential profit in it. So 25K is a bit high but I could see someone wanting the vouchers to use. But if its triune its around an 85K craft cost, which means almost no potential profit, so paying 25K for its a good sized loss. Regardless there are FAR FAR cheaper ways to get vouchers.

Just because you found a sucker doesnt mean the system aint broken. It is.

Got a master writ for jewels. 91 vouchers for gold.

I sell it for 40 bucks per coupon.

In such situations I roleplay my mastercrafter uses CHIM to never have had obtained that.
