Anyone else hate starting out in Vardenfell?

Im a new player(like only been playing for 2 weeks new) and now the game only lets me create new characters that start in Vardenfell. At first i thought it looked cool, but I soon found it to be overwhelming/frustrating! My meek charcter died A LOT(some quests have you go to those skull and crossbone areas that would kill me 24/7). Not to mention, the area is so huge and there are so many quests that pop up, it just frustrates me! I wish i could start in a smaller area like Stros M’Kai. Do any other newbs feel my pain? Lol

no, as morrowind is home to the master race. Morrowind can take place before the base game main quest but It make s more sense to start there after doing the prior dlcs. Summerset takes place after the main story and starting there makes no sense. Its beneficial to start off in summerset and morrowind because you have access to a extra skillpoint and helps you in early game, you can leave to the base game via boat

you can return to faction's typical base game starter town and do those quests at any time. Currently I believe you'll start in summerset if you own it.

It makes zero sense starting there or summerset.

Just leave, travel to your alliance first town. Start the old original story and it all has a much better flow.

New characters should be prompted - base game, Morrowind or summerset.

I hate starting anywhere but Coldharbour. Would appreciate an option to use the original (Coldharbour) start instead of the 'flavor of the month' start for those who want to. I started a new char when MW was flavor of the month and as soon as I cleared the required opening, I ported to my house and did the Coldharbour start. I started a character when Summerset was flavor of the month and did the same thing.

Doesn’t matter where you start really. But they should make the quest system much more intuitive. Every single quest/questgiver should not have the same exact arrow above his head (I know dailies are different). There should be various markers to more easily distinguish the main faction and guild quests.

Vvardenfell start is so yesterday, Summerset is today, next year it'll be somewhere else
but really needs to be Coldharbor
but ZOS do like rearranging the order for the hell of it!

Nope, brings back good memories of ESIII:Morrowind.

Skull and Bones means it’s a world boss ... in other words bring your friends.

point 1: you don't have to accept or do every quest.

point 2: it is possible to start in vvardenfell and get to lvl 50 without doing any of the main quest.

point 3: it's a game, you are under no obligation to do things you don't want to do.

I just want to point out that you can start in Stros M'Kai, if you want. You just have to go there and begin the quests for Daggefall Covenant faction.

The game starts you out in the most recent expansion because an entire team of artists, programmers, managers, and storytellers have spent months/years crafting the latest content and want players to see the new stuff, that is usually more polished and graphically advanced than the old content, and also was created with the latest trends and changes to the base game in mind.

There is just a short quest you get in your faction's starter town you can very easily accept and do to start in coldharbor. Just use the wayshrine you start at and travel to your faction's starter town. You'll already have the wayshrine.
