Leveling from 40-50

I just hit 40 today and was wondering what the quickest way from 40 to 50 would be?
For now I just ran Dolmens a lot, did the daily BG and Dungeon and a few main story quests.

(As long as you have no more than 2 people, as it's 10% more xp for 2 then less xp for more)

It goes (from best XP to lowest XP):

Overland grind spots, e.g. Spellscar
Imperial City
Instanced, e.g. Skyreach <-- If everywhere else is busy, then this becomes best as no one can steal your XP.

What do you mean with "Imperial City" exactly? What should I do there?

Yes overland is just somewhere you can port to, the most used example is Spellscar (in the centre of Craglorn) or the bears in Auridon, the Zombies in Alik'r.

Imperial City you'll need the DLC, just run the first loop as you get into the sewers, spawn rate is pretty high.

Also I forgot to mention Public dungeons, most have excellent grind spots, just a matter of finding them

Thank you! Maybe somewhat related but I keep dying when I try to "AoE" farm as a Stamina Nightblade, are there any suggestions? I'm not even sure what abilities I should be using or weapon or whatnot.

Keep doing daily dungeons, at level 45 new dungeons unlock so you get lots of new ones.
If you need skill points public dungeons and delves also give lots of them.
i would continue to push for cp160
