Do you think that skill respec should have a flat rate amount?

Pretty simple what is being asked, as the champion system allows us to respec at the cost of 3k gold and there are those of us that have a lot of skill points and some of us have gotten all the skyshards in the game and only way some of us can get more skill points is via pvp. For myself my main would cost 18450 gold to respec all, and 2150 for morphs. Wouldn't a flat rate be more bearable?

IDK why it costs anything at all. As gold sinks go it's nonsensical that a game like ESO with an open skill system that by its very nature encourages experimentation puts a gold cost on... experimenting.

Changing skills and CP allocation should be as simple and easy as changing gear. Charging gold for that is a left over from old MMO thinking where they wanted you to lock-in to a spec and not change it.

There should also be several custom templates available including both skills and CP that you can easily switch between for different game play purposes. Rift had the right idea on how to do that properly 7 years ago.

It costs what it does so that ZOS can sell more Crown Skill Respec Scrolls.

Ideally I wish it didn't cost anything.

Realistically I wish it had a flat rate of 3k.

Currently, it costs me 18.2k in gold to respec even just one skill.

Honestly I feel like I am being punished because I love ESO so much. What's more important ZoS: a happy ESO Plus Member or a Crown Respec Scroll? Cause right now it feels like the scroll is winning.

I like that they've made it so we don't have to respec everything every time, but I'd so much prefer they do a deeper dive into overhauling the respec system, and having a flat rate for respecs like with Champion Points sounds like a very tantalizing option. I'd prefer it be a flat rate per skill that we could do straight from the skills tab, but what can you do.

100% agreed, and yes ZOS needs to quit being greedy (scroll sales) and change respec to a flat rate.

The one thing that I can do is to not buy any respec scrolls...

It should either be a flatrate, like with the CP respec, or the coast should adapt to the number of skills you actually change.

It's sad that you're practically punished for having a veteran character with a lot of skillpoints..
And it's even more sad that ZOS didn't see this coming, and even more sad they didn't listen to all the players who told them..

The pricing is ridiculous. If they continue to make it so expensive in in-gold game to do everything fun or useful in this game, folks like me are gradually going to stop doing *anything* in this game. I.e., I love ESO, but it’s not the only game in town.
