I am finally looking to do some full time healing in ESO and figured a Templar was a good place to start. Curious if there are any good and current guides to healing in ESO? I want to be good at healing and not just spam skills in the hopes I keep folks alive. I tried finding a good guide but coming up short. Not looking for a build vid but a guide that will provide tips and must have skills ect. Thanks!!

These links offer tips and advice, including build options:
    https://tabatta.eu/tabatta-heal-me-healplar-pve-guide/
    https://alcasthq.com/eso-magicka-templar-healer-build-pve/

You can find some vids on youtube from Vana that show hard content from the healer perspective if you want to see how things are done in actual gameplay.

Mapurr has healer perspective hard content too: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDQ4Xydn6I9JY9BkY79o0Gg

I'll go with my usual advice for beginning healers:
    • Use 1 destro bar and 1 resto bar.
    • The usual choice for destro is lightning.
    • On the destro bar have a DPS rotation plus Elemental Drain.
    • In the case of templars, other skills in the DPS rotation are Luminous Shards (best "battery" skill in the game, plus OK DPS), Purifying Light unless group DPS is terrible, and Reflective Light (unless you prefer a true spammable).
    • On the resto bar, in the case of templar, have Channeled Focus, heals and flex skills.
    • In a 4-person group, Rapid Regeneration/Mutagen is utterly required on the resto bar if you're wearing Spell Power Cure; even if you're not, it's good. In a larger group, the same is true of Healing Springs.
    • You definitely want at least one of Healing Ward and Breath of Life/Honor the Dead. Old guides are not reliable as to which to choose, since Breath of Life keeps getting nerfed.
    • Extended Ritual is required in certain advanced content. I'm not quite sure what content that is, however, and I've run all non-DLC dungeons and a couple of DLC ones.
    • Combat Prayer is a little overrated in groups of only four, but it's well worth considering.

Basically, the DoTs, HoTs and buffs you refresh on cooldown are:
    • At least one HoT (Regeneration or Healing Springs as the case may be).
    • Channeled Focus
    • Combat Prayer if you're running it.

Break that off as needed for emergency healing. Refill your magicka with heavy attacks when you're not doing anything else.

Welcome to world of healing. Each class will bring you a unique experience. In particular Templars have a balanced experienced, so it's a good way to start.

Healing in ESO is about supporting your allies to success. This can be done in different ways, but most importantly is try not have your allies die. Though realize sometimes things happen, if allies don't follow mechs or blink at the wrong moment. So don't it get you down.

    Building a healer,

There's various way to do it, but first would pick weapons. Some popular choices are resto/destro or resto/resto, but other things can be done. Next pick how you plan to support allies, is it resources, crowd control, shields, damage, buffs, debuffs, stuns, roots, snares there is many options, so mix a few and see what works for you. I say this now best adventures is the one you explore, and maybe occasionally fall down a rocky path, but later you see things that you couldn't even imagine if you followed someone else's path.

Well now onto come visit us in class representative healer discord https://discord.gg/TfjSbu9 .A place to ask questions, share experiences, and concerns. So if hadn't I said it enough in many different words welcome to elder scrolls healing!
