Why do those in cloak need an indicator that they can be discovered?

This is an indirect buff to cloak, which doesn't need any buffs. We already can't see where they are so they shouldn't know that we're using detection pots to bring them out of cloak. I just don't understand the reasoning behind this.

I'm almost sure it's not about PvP, rather stealing/assassinating in environments with a lot of NPCs.

Don't you already get an indicator from NPCs when they can bring you out of sneak or cloak in a certain range? The large ring around them that shows.

That's only for the NPCs with a lantern.

So what other NPCs are going to need an indicator? When you are in sneak, the eye tells you whether you are hidden or not so I'm still confused.

    It's weird buff to blades.

Yet people on Immov pots have nothing, so certain skills don't even fire. I prefer less clutter on the screen so not asking for something but if fairs fair.

No, it's actually a buff to those who are detecting, so they are less likely to be chosen as a gank target. Scaredy gankers only want to pick on the easiest kills - not someone who has a buff to track them down. Think of it like the animals that have bright colors to warn off potential predators that they are actually pure poison. :D

Immov pots show swirling winds around the feet, but they are hard to see most times, and I suspect they often don't render since many times AOE's and abilities don't render in bigger fights.

There are addons you can get to show immovability if the swirling / skills greyed out wasn't enough, for Detect pots there weren't

    so i don't die.
please stop trying to destroy stealth class and stealth play.

I wouldnt call it "destroying stealth". Stealth requires to use the brain as well, and thats how nbs should use it, not with the help of signs and stuff. If you want to be stealthy dont rely only on cloak, keep moving, watch your sorroundings, etc...
I'm a pvp nb main and had no issues with the way it was before, i dont need that extra help and dont want it either.

Edit: "So i don't die" if you die every time they find you... Well, you should check your skills and get better.

The problem was that you couldn't play smart Vs detection potions because if there were more people you couldn't tell which one to avoid. Now it adds at least some chance to avoid that person. I'm sure you main stamblade, because you talk about sneak not invisibility, but for magblades who use more cloak than sneak it's important change because when you use cloak you have no information that you are being detected by det potion.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

I've been maining a magblade for the last 6/7 months. It's true though that i dont rely on cloak too much, i use it aggresively and not defensively.
About not having the information that you're being detected by a pot... What's the problem with that? I think it's unfair to let me know that.

The indicator might have a place in the game if force missing single target attacks with cloak wasn’t a thing.

As someone that mains NB I'm not a fan of this. It just doesn't seem right that I'd "see" they can see. I don't know that it's a huge deal it just seems wrong. I'd much rather settle for the eye actually opening when I'm detectable instead of thinking I'm stealthed when I'm actually not.

Honestly, now a precedent has been set, they need to also add this to shieldbreaker users so sorcs know which one to run from/target.

My gut feel for this patch is that NB's got some huge survivability buffs... cage gone, sloads cloakable, and this. Certainly gonna be playing mine more.
