Why rune cage is effective against organized zerg groups

I was playing today and I saw a very organized zerg group at Nikel and I started using my rune cage stun as usual and when one or two of them died their whole group collapsed. And they kept coming back to Nikel many times to get a taste of rune cage. It's funny when they can't get back to their organized group to get a heal. Runge cage is getting a nerf today but I think it's still going to be effective in gameplay.

I have a feeling it was nothing to do with your cage as opposed to just volume of incoming fire.

Personally, I found it useless, as they are so tightly packed that its impossible to set up a burst on a single target to go with cage - as your 4 abilities all end up hitting different targets.. Just ends up giving them cc-immunity for nothing.

If an organized group falls from only two people dying, I would not consider them organized at all. They have no backup plan...

Chuck Norris doesn't even need Rune Cage - a zerg of 50 instantly explodes even when his Rune Cage button is greyed out.

My guess is that this story in the OP isn't actually what happened at all, but the portrayed awesomeness of the skill would make forum users believe everything.

LOL Trying to picture an actual ball group come up to just some guy spamming rune cage and actually have any of them die.

Spot on @Feanor I once hit rune cage and completed the game.

it's raw awesome.

The 4 nerfs that landed today for PC haven't dented it's stopping prowess
