Things I have noticed about overwhelming surge set

The set can multiproc but any additional procs does not refresh prior procs. For whatever reason unknown to me it looks like the set can crit, did a test where I was only using breath of life multiple times. The proc can be reflected back at you if someone is having projectiles reflected. It can be dodged if it is reflected back at you. When it does proc and you are surrounded by enemies they don't all zap at the same time, they go by the routine of when they were initiated and zap at regular intervals as it says till it is completed.
The set is a good choice if are a heavy magplar, where your armor pieces you can make as wyrd tree or seducer if you like, head and shoulder I recommend as iceheart. From what I can tell mag builds for classes that would get the best bonus from overwhelming surge would be templar and warden.

Yeah, I really wanted to use it on my lightning mage, but the proc rate was terrible for the results given. If it proced on any skill it might be workable.2 -

puncturing sweep can proc it, purifying light can proc it, radiant aura can proc it... all class abilities can proc it.Ärmätèsz

So if there was a group, it would apply a dot to the closest enemy every second.
1 sec. X is closest , X has Dot applied for 12 seconds
2 sec. Y is closest , Y has Dot applied for 12 seconds
so on,
But would not stack like below.
1 sec. X is closest , X has Dot applied for 12 seconds
2 sec. X is still closest , X has another Dot applied for 12 seconds.
I believe if 3 people are running sloads, you could have 3 leeching clouds put on a single target. (stacks)0 -

Pve and pvp for builds. It is well built for battlegrounds and imperial city, as for cyrodiil it varies how you are going about the build. I've personally killed zergs with this build. Worst case scenario someone could go against this build is a resource cost more build via poisons.Ärmätèsz

If there is 3 enemies you are fighting and if it multiprocs from what I have experienced it can target two different targets if they are both at the same distance. So don't be shocked if you see it hit two or 3 people of equal distances.
The maximum amount of times I have had it proc at once was 3 procs, I can visually see the damage ticks for each so I know it has multi proc'd. I have tested at my own home with target dummies and it does the same thing.Edited by Armatesz on August 11, 2018 6:03PMÄrmätèsz

✭I tell you...overwhelming surge is AMAZING.
It is considered AoE, it also will only hit the closest target, if u hit someone and they back up the next hit will hit whoever is closer.
It will go through block and is undodgable due to it acting like a ground based dot. It will also pull nightblades out of stealth. If there's a Night blade blade around that cloaks right in front of me, I spam focus till it comes up, it will pull them out of stealth, thereby not gaining the benefits to stealth damage.
A very good set for any magplar wanting to get into PVP small scale or solo 1vX to learn. Even for high end players2 -

Perhaps to some but I honestly don't view it as a threat, I've seen an entire team that had a sload build and I mopped the floor with them, so no I don't view it as a threat like some do.Ärmätèsz

✭Overwhelming is pretty good on magplar, can be pretty cheesy on dps build.
I’ve seen it proc on multiple people and npcs at some point, I’m sure that’s not intended. But you can visually see it hitting two different targets.1 -

Combining Surge+Sload+Skoria or Sload+Masters DW+TBaB&Heavy weapons bleeds or pairing Sload with defile are all ridiculously OP0 -
