Going back to coldharbor?

Is there anyway to get back to coldharbor without doing the main quest. I remember seeing a wayshrine on my last character I had but not yet discovered yet on my new character. I know there's a house you can buy there but that don't lead to coldharbor when you exit the house. I have not yet done the daughter of Giants quest because I don't want to now.

If you're in a guild right click and travel to someone that's in CH, or ask in zone for a quick taxi

I am in a guild just joined one I always thought there be a trapped door hidden somewhere in the game but they won't make it that easy for you. Lol

You need to travel to a guildmate or group up with someone in the Coldharbor zone. You'll be able,to run around the southern parts of the zone, since the north part doesn't unlock until you do the Coldharbor zone quests.

If you port to a guildmate in Coldharbor, you should appear at one, unless they are already inside a dungeon.

Zoom as far out of your map as you can, it’s in one of the outer circles along with cwc and artaeum

I don't have artaeum yet not sure how that get there

Just zoom out until you can see tamriel (so keep zooming til you can anymore) and on the outer part you'll see coldharbour somewhere.

Doesnt matter if you dont have artaeum, all zones will appear on your map even if you havent been there yet.

It shows on my map artaeum does but there's no map symbols on it or shows a undescoverd wayshrine

Artaeum is NOT Coldharbor.

Artaeum is part of Summerset chapter.

The compeletely zoomed-out map shows a big map of Tamriel, with three smaller maps around it. One is the Clockwork City DLC, one is Artaeum and one is Coldharbor.

There is a wayshrine, but you won't see it until you get there for the first time - just like in Eyevea or Artaeum.

You can get to the northern area without quests if you group with and port to someone that already has the quests done. It usually works best to port to one of the nothern central wayshines - either the one at the bridge south of the citadel or the one south of where the vampires are

Depends what you mean by "main quest".
All the main quest instances are, well, instanced. You play them as you like (though the final one won't trigger until you finished the coldharbour questline)

But once you play through the five alliance regions, the next step will take your character back to coldharbour through the meeting on Stirk and the following events...

Or, as has been mentioned, you can teleport to a guildmate/friend who is there, and then come and go as you like.

And once you have been there... yes, there are several wayshrines around coldharbour, and you will be able to leave and come back as you please. As also mentioned, its in the "outer circle" of the world map, just like CWC and Artaeum.

You can also start the Stirk quest as soon as you reach level 45, even if you don't do the main quest. Vanus should show up at that point. And from there on you get to Coldharbour. But the faster way at any level is, as others have mentioned, to travel to a friend or guild mate who is in Coldharbour at that time.

For the others who want to know I figured it out a better easier way if you want to spend crowns on the house in cold harbor once you buy it fast travel to the house and then when you exit you will end up in cold harbor

How is that easier than joining a guild and asking if they can go there so you can port to them?

Oh dear... you could have a) waited until the main quest takes you there or b) just asked for a taxi to Coldharbour. Saying that the 'better easier' way to get to Coldharbour is to buy a house with crowns feels really wrong

I'm not much on the social thing but I do play I don't really do groups unless there's a quest I really want to do so then I group with someone. But I'm trying to get into that since it is a social game. And plus I don't have a headset yet to do groups. Need to get one.

You have to do the last zone main quests for your alliance to get the invite for Messages Across Tamriel

Something changed, so now you will be ported back to the WS if you exit. Even if you otherwise know the zone. I tried this with the DLC Dungeon in Shadowfen and it won't work (its close to a survey node). Now, it might work in a base game dungeon, but somehow I doubt it.
