New concept: Outfit slot or token - for your HOUSE!

Just lamenting with a guildie how I love my Earthtear Cavern, but I love how other people have done theirs completely different, and how I wish I could have 2 of the same to decorate, or be able to put it back the way it was. My guild mate just said "like an outfit slot for your house". GENIUS! Do you wish the same thing: Be able to own 2 of the same house or have a way to have decorated slot A and decorated slot B so to speak - for a modest coin in the Crown Store of course
Ebonheart Pact, Nord Templar/healer on NA Xbox server. My main toon WAS a tall and foxy redhead - now she has been gamma-irradiated and has green skin and black hair. 3 other characters I only use for writs. Can't be bothered to create multiple toons - EXCEPT now my WW is getting spooled up for Cyrodiil - Blood For The Pact! IRL cranky sometimes redhead chick at large in Las Vegas, NV

That would be a nightmare to code :joy:

Why? The main difference is that outfits are unlockables, while almost all furniture are items. It could be solved, though, by simply making you own two copies of the same house and making you select which instance version should load.

There are, we are told by ZOS, technical reasons that the rate at which changes can be applied to housing stuff exist. This strongly suggests that, while possible, this would not be particularly fast, nor fun.

Duplicating storage, while it sounds easy, tends to be a far more costly programming practice than you imagine.

    1 outfit = 7 armor slots
    1 house = 700 furniture items

They don't seem to have anything against giving us more houses though. I honestly don't see why selling you a new house is easy to code, but letting you buy one of those already in the game for a second time wouldn't be. For all coding purposes it could be viewed as a different house.
