vMA maelstrom drops bugged?

So I went back into maelstrom after a long time to get another inferno staff because I wanted to have one more and double drops seemed like the best time.

I am getting bows and duel wields every single time.

Out like thirty drops 15 have been bows and 13 have been duel wields. At one point I thought they were only dropping the same weapons. One clear would be 2 bows. The next clear would be 2 duel wields, then 2 bows again.

I got 2 leaderboards drops last week. Guess what they were? A bow and another bow...

Could the coding for the double drops have caused a bug or something?

Those don’t drop for me ...

Plenty of staves and 1H+ Shield though.

I mean there’s like 14 different weapons or something? What are the odds of getting a bow and duel wield in the same drop 6-7 times in a row? And what are the odds of getting a bow on 14 out of 15 drops?

The game probably knows which things you need and give you something different

Bows and restos for me. Idc really I have all weapons but getting a bow and Resto every run gets old and also got Resto from leaderboard reward too.

8 Resto and 5 S&B for me the last 14 runs. Still waiting for an Ice staff....

Edit: ...and still waiting for the 'extraneous' stat to be re-added to vMA weps!!!!

Sorry man. It often feels like the game knows what type of class you are playing (stam vs. Mag) and drops the opposite of that type of gear. That many bow drops is rediculous tho.

1H Axe = 0

Battleaxe = 3
Bow = 7

Greatsword = 9
Ice Staff = 6
Inferno Staff = 2
Lighting Staff = 3
DW Mace = 2
1H Mace = 2
Maul = 1
Resto Staff = 7
Shields = 11
DW Sword = 3
1H Sword = 5

Totals:
Destro = 11
Bow = 7
Resto = 7
1H+Shield = 7
2H =13
DW = 18

Note: I have more shields because when they changed how the enchant was setup, the mailed me all the shields (most people de-conned previous ones). Also note a bunch of DW weapons were from before they changed it to drop both

let me say a few words on the drops too. im a mage, and ive never gor a vma inferno staff during the event, only bows and melee weps. my friend who's melee told me that he got only bows and staves. so pls dont tell me that its RNG, cause it was made on purpose to force people play more. why i loot only double swords or bows or daggers or axes? not a single staff, thts not a joke anymore ppl

Playing on my magsorc I ran during the event 18 times to get an inferno for my new magblade. I got a duel weild almost every time, sword and boards almost every time a couple bows two ice staves 5 or so two handers and a resto. I had a stretch where I got duel weild/ snb in the final chest 4 times in a row. Then on the 18th run after I gave up hope I got the inferno

I just did 2 runs so far on a magblade. 1st 2h sword + lightning staff (f.yeah!) 2nd a vma dagger and para bellum staff. I'm just gonna stop there and keep the good memories from the 1st run. Praised be rngsus and transmutation!

I've been getting a crap ton of inferno staves. Got one in infused yesterday actually. I've gotten a bunch of bows as well. No sword and boards, and Ive only gotten one Ice staff and one Resto. I've gotten a crap ton of dual wield drops tho!

106 drops it took me to get my inferno staff. The odds of that happening is 0.0009%.

So yeah... good luck.

I then ran CoA1 twice and got my BSW inferno staff. Odds of that occurring is 0.42% (assuming nobody was going to give me theirs). You win some, you lose some.

Wow i would kill for those bows.. keep getting ice staffs shieds and a few lucky fire staffs..still no lighting and i need 3 bows

After reading this, I had the random thought that perhaps vma weapons should be tradeable with other players for vma weapons in exchange. I have way too many bows, and could use some of these extra staffs people have but don't want. :-)

1st run (ever) on my mag sorc dropped inferno staff, 3rd dropped lightning. 10th run dropped double bows for my stam DK and Templar. At least 40+ runs for BSW inferno = zip...

First run dropped snb+frost, second was snb nirn+inferno, third one 2h maul+inferno infused and the last one dropped resto+dw nirn axes.

And I farmed for bows actually;)

Upd:got more snb and two nirn swords;/

I got two two-handed swords, two DW pairs and a frost staff.
So other stuff does drop.
*puts on tinfoil hat* Somehow I feel the game is analyzing your character data to determin what you want to drop and then give you anything but.

It seems to me that ZOS has a in-game algorithm that checks to see what class, race, and type of character you are playing and then makes sure you get a weapon that is totally opposite of what you really need. Happens to me all the time in end game content.
