Hey everyone,

I have a sorcerer and I use destruction staffs for DPS.

I have one staff that says it deals 2139 Magic Damage and restores 327 Magicka. My character attributes say 1199 spell damage, 1199 weapon damage.
I have another staff that says deals 3454 flame damage. My character attributes say 1174 spell damage, 1174 weapon damage.

During a fight, I spam the Destruction Staff skill FORCE PULSE IV.

Question, does the "deals magic damage / deals flame damage" affect the FORCE PULSE IV at all? When is this magic/flame damage dealt, only when I press R1 and fire the staff? If so, does that "deals ... damage" refer only to a heavy staff attacks?

So my combat system is this:
1. I have a VOLATILE FAMILIAR IV pet active
2. Cast DAEDRIC PREY IV first. This makes the familiar's damage greater
3. Activate the VOLATILE FAMILIAR IV special ability of shock damage
4. Spam the FORCE PULSE IV
5. When the DAEDRIC PREY spell expires and explodes, I do an instant cast of CRYSTAL FRAGMENTS IV
6. Repeat

So given that, what aspect of a destruction staff's attributes affect me? I never run out of mana in a fight because I have 5-piece Seducer, 5-piece Lich, so I never really fire the staff with heavy or light.
