On Console, when you use ZONE chat in Cyrodiil you are only talking to your alliane @mateosalvaje is that different on PC then?

And yes, its 100% better that way. unsure why you need to talk to the enemy. I guess perhaps thats why Console gets less salt / whispers / messages as its harder to actually do (i.e. make a note of their GT, go into Xbox message, find them, message)

The issue isn't that other alliances can normally read your chat, they can't. The issue is all the dirty traitors that are spying on each alliance to report on movements. Don't they know it's only fair for my alliance to use spies to snoop on troop movements?

It is Alliance based anyway... Would be pretty stupid if it wasn't.

I find this poll confusing. In PvP, you already are only talking to people logged in with the same faction.

If you mean a separate chat for calling things out etc, NO. Its already hard enough to get people to listen half the time. Making them go over to a new chat area to hear call outs sounds like a pita. We would have even more people not listening, in my opinion.

Also, I for one find my zone chat to be hilarious more often than not. We have some good people in the campaign I play in, and the couple of people that get to be too much are usually shut down pretty quick. I don't see this whole super toxic thing some people talk about.

I thought that too originally, but nope zone chat is alliance chat.

But people do switch alliances around what's going on. I'm all for alliance lock. Tho many are against it. And in fact its worse now swapping guest campaigns is free.
