Could ZoS please fix Thieves Guild Quest: Forever Hold Your Peace?

I have been stuck on this quest for a couple of days now. I notice that this bug has been in the game since the launch of the Thieves guild and never addressed by the Devs.

Basically you get stuck on the point hwen you are supposed to open the Door to the Palace kitchen, and you are unable to interact with it.

I have restarted the quest 5 times.
I have disabled addons.
I have tried different permuations of attacking the scripts. NO LUCK.

I would like to finish the questline on this character. Please help.

Is that where you need the key? If so, go toward the back of the big rectangular pool and talk to the guy sitting there by the little wall. Tell him you like red wine and... cheese? I forget, it's been so long since I've done that. He'll give you a key. Or you can crouch and pickpocket a guard. Once you have the key, you can interact with the door.

If I remember correctly from my time farming the bubbler plans(back when they still dropped there)...

If you have already done this, and have been inside but for some reason did not finish the quest and exited/logged out of the game.... then were eventually got kicked back out after logging back in. You may notice that keys do not exist in any of the spots they did before. If this is the case abandon the quest and pick it up 24 hours or more later. The time should be shorter but to be safe 24 hrs or more. If picked up too early when you are back on that part of the quest(on the new quest) they keys will still not exist.

Guys I have tried all the suggestions.

I have the fancy palace kitchen key in my inventory. WhT happens when I try to interact with the door is the waypoint is under ground, and the actual door is greyed out.

Same. I have abandoned and re-tried multiple times, choosing different options, and always end up with a key and a door that won’t open.

From what I remember, it's just bugged. I put in a ticket for it, and their response was basically it's bugged.

You have to get in a group with someone who can get past the door.

Have you tried all the various angles and distances from the door? There are some activators that are just not positioned right and you have to be at a weird or off angle to get it to activate.

I have done this quest on a few characters, and it does work, but I think the activator is askew.

I can get the key.
But I can't open the door:

Got a response from Customer support:

It was a auto response that asked me to reloadui or relog or drop quest.

Note that I stated I did this 5 times in the inital ticket, leading me to know that no one read the ticket and the response was generated based on the category that the ticket was submitted under.

That is really not a great impression of customer service....

I have never considered unsubscribing from this game before now.

I am really frustrated.

Just to give you guys an idea of the level of customer of support you get in ESO, everything so far has been auto responses.
There is no human behind these responses, you can tell they are auto generated.

Remove Add-ons
Go to the "Elder Scrolls Online" folder in My Documents.
Open the "live" folder (NA megaserver) or "liveeu" (EU megaserver).
Remove all files from the "AddOns" folder.
Remove all files from the "SavedVariables" folder.
Remove AddOnSettings.txt from the "live" folder.

Repair the ESO Launcher
Open The Elder Scrolls OnlineLauncher by right-clicking on the icon on the desktop and selecting Run as Administrator.
Wait for the launcher to open completely.
If multiple ESO clients are installed and available through the launcher, make sure you have the correct version highlighted by clicking on it once.
Open the Game Options dropdown menu and click on the option for Repair.

Paid someone 100k gold to get me through the mission.

The bug is as follows. If you start the misison, don't quit leave or interrupt the scripting at any point or you wll get screwed.

Everytime I entered the instance, it put the Hulajabad Kitchen key into my inventory. The key was for the original instance that got interrupted. So it was not usable in any future instance.

By joining someone else on a fresh virgin playhtrough of the instance, I could rely on him to complete the quest stages and push me through the quest.

Support was not helpful. And I never actually got a human response.

Again to get past this bug I had to PAY 100k gold to another player to help me.

I won't be running the thieves guild questline ever again.
