Why can't we go to the 2 smaller islands of Kanarti's Roost?

I tried to get there and we can't get there. Just curious why put them there if we can't get there? I saw on youtube someoned did it, but not sure when the video was made so it can have been "fixed" so we can't go there. I just feel like I am missing part of discovering everything since we can see it, it's on the map and we can't go there.

I loathe the invisible walls and unexplorable areas. But having escaped the map in most places I will tell you that the reason they were created is scenery. Some things you see on every horizon were put there just to make a horizon and aren't very detailed if you manage to get to where they are, with checkerboard fields of flat planes of nothingness and chasms beyond.. until later when content is added there. They're worldbuilders' impressionistic silhouettes and scenery.

Thanks @runagate. So it's like Fallout/The Elderscrolls game when you go past the borders then. That is sad. I just wish they didn't put it there then. So sad seeing something, gets you curious/excited and not being able to go there.

Always keep an argonian with rapids for island exploring and a sorc with bolt escape for wending up through the cliffs and such when exploring. And argonian sorc would probably be ideal. And use the dwemer spider mount. Something about it's flat bottom makes for using the "physics ramps" like outside the alchemist in Belkarth easier to get those high jumps.

If you ever try to get somewhere in particular ask around here on the forums. More than once map-escapers have shared tips for particular zones.

Intentionally inaccessible islands tend to not have much on them, sadly.

Still disappointed that the whole Sheogorad region (northern island of Morrowind) is unplayable too.

Smiled at the term map-escapers. Adding that to my list of hobbies, along with crag jumper, waterfall diving, and how many steps can I jump on horseback without dying.

The game engine is really garbage, unfortunately.
The worst thing anyone can do is to uncheck the fog setting in Hook64, because then you see how the game world is really made. It must be generations worse technology than what's underneath Skyrim for example. Here they simply mask everything with fog. Good bye blue sky. Frankenstein technology.

A few months ago I stepped away from the game for a few minutes and when I came back I saw that I was dead. Something killed me. When I respawned the game put me somewhere far off the map from where I died. I can't remember exactly where it was but everything was 2D. All the trees where just flat. It was really odd. I explored a little but nothing of interest was in the area. Just a flat boring landscape.
