A few questions about builds from a beginner player (races, classes, dps)

I am a few questions about builds.I want to create one pve dps character and one pvp dps character.Pve dps character would be mag sorcer Altmer.Is that a good choice? Maybe Dunmer mag DK would be better? And pvp dps character would be stamblade but i don't know which races is the best.I heard Khajiits got nerf and now they are not good choice and Redguard or Wood Elf would be better.I also think about stamina dragonknight with 2h sword, but would that work? Please help me.

Either of those is fine--the key is to play a class you enjoy, as you'll spend a ton of time on it. The "best" PvE dps changes patch to patch, so don't get too hung up on rolling the current "best."And pvp dps character would be stamblade but i don't know which races is the best.I heard Khajiits got nerf and now they are not good choice and Redguard or Wood Elf would be better.
Khajiit, Redguard, or Wood Elf would all be solid choices--the "best" race for PvP isn't as well defined as it is in PvE, so again--if you think you'd enjoy playing as one more, go for it. My stamNB is a Wood Elf, and I'm a big fan.I also think about stamina dragonknight with 2h sword, but would that work? Please help me.
It might not be everyone's first pick, but yes stamDK with 2h AND 1Hand+Shield is still fairly popular and strong, even if not considered "top tier" at the moment.

PVE dps: pick a good race to go with the class and spec you most enjoy playing, and don't pick templar or warden. Altmer magsorc is always a good choice. Good/better/best changes every few months.
PVP stamblade: wood elf passives are bis if you're playing stealthy, redguard if you're going to brawl. Khajiit is ok but wouldn't be my pick.
Stamina DKs with a 2H can wreck in PVP. I don't see very many of them though, which suggests it's not easy to do in the current meta. The meta changes. Roll the dice and play what you enjoy playing, you're most likely to stick with whatever is fun until it works for you. You have a lot of character slots and can get race change tokens and ingame respecs for a current character if it doesn't work out.0 -

sDK is very underpowered atm, lacks class identity and I would rather run stamina warden or sorcerer in PvP than dragonknight atm.0 -

I've noticed even @Bislobo is playing more stamsorc and nb this patch.
Maybe you'll get something nice when Murkmire drops. It could happen. 1 -

✭✭Wanted to add that while what is "best" is subjective, and changes, and all the other stuff that responses have said is technically true, I think they miss a critical point...
Magicka Sorcerer is a GREAT pve class to learn on for a new player, due to having good damage and survivability. Lots of builds can do lots of amazing things, but in almost every situation where all your allies are dying, the Sorcs are the last to fall.
Surge + Ward can really help you stay alive long enough to learn about what's going on. That makes the game a lot less frustrating when you're starting out. I wish I'd started on a Sorc.
And yeah, Altmer for Sorcerer is the best choice for most builds if you're going for max damage. Breton is a good choice if you're looking for more sustain (which is always nice!).Edited by GreenHere on August 6, 2018 3:04PM0 -

Honestly, if you have to ask, then any of those would be fine. You are not (yet) playing at a level where the choice of race really matters. If you want to run the "wrong" race for DPS, you will still be fine, and get stuff done.
Most of these choices are, in the grand scheme of things, pretty insignificant compared to the difference that, eg, reliably performing light attack weaving makes to your DPS.0 -

You can't really go wrong with a Magsorc. They perform very consistently thought all of PvE. They aren't the strongest at the moment, but still have their place because of being range and very versatile.
MagDK is performing pretty well at the moment, however he is somewhat one dimensional. You need to be able to go melee and you are pretty depended on the current meta. MagDK has a very hard time when he falls short in DPS due to balancing changes.
