Why spend AP on soul gems.....

After so many years of playing, I have almost 8000 soul gems in my bank.
If I had none and wanted easy ones, I would steal them at the mystic in Belkarth, go indoors, return and repeat and then I would charge them.Auri-El is my lord,
Trinimac my ward,

Why farm them from overworld bosses when you get plenty of empty ones from enchanting writs?
Why bother with enchanting writs when you can buy them with AP?

However for players who mostly PvP its few sources and they use way more of them than in pve.why spend any currency to buy soul gems at all? plenty of them can be found everywhere. dolmens, delve/dungeon/world bosses, chests...
Think 4-5 AP is 1 gold based on prices on gold jewelry.Grinding just make you go in circles.

Personally I have never ever bought a soul gem yet, only made do with what I found in chests... but then, I also don't PvP much where I guess you may spend more of them rezzing people, so...
But in the end, it depends what currency one has to spare. If you are saving your gold for something, you may buy them for AP. If you are saving up AP for something, you may prefer to spend gold. If you PvE a lot, you may just farm bosses, if you explore a lot, you may just spend time to seek chests, etc.0
