How did you reach max CP?

Hey all. I've been playing on and off since console launch and I'm at level 525.
Was wondering how you got to 750 and which ways are the quickest?
Just one level now takes over 300,000 xp. The grind is real ehh !

I just played the game. Got me to CP1156

CPs for me take 1,000,000 plus, in case you were wondering.

There are plenty of grind places, Skyreach, Vile Lab, Doing Master Writs while on a exp booster (I got 500K exp doing about 8 of them, even 2 to 5 voucher ones), zombie farms, dailies, spider farms, public dungeon grinding.

But really the difference between where you are now and the cap is not all that much in actual character power.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I have had this game since January, and I am currently 561 CP. I got to that level just by playing the game, mostly pvp, on nights and weekends. I expect to reach max CP this fall.

Started playing often in November 2017. Used to do daily randoms everyday, quests etc. Got to around 500ish that way. Since I got into PvP around March 2018, have spent nearly all my time in Cyrodiil. Occasionally I'll run dungeons for gear, level a new toon in Skyreach, or do a few pledges for keys. Am 742 now. Could have hit cap long ago, but just don't care that much.

    pretty much this.
I played beta. Quit the game after a month or so as there was lack of content. picked it up on PS4 for xmas 2016 and just played the game.
I did every quest, delve, poi, dungeon, skyshard (except max pvp rank) and just slowly ticked off in game achievements. I was 500+ by the time I did all the main game content, then started on all the DLC, which was up to wrothgar then. Took me about 6 months of playing to reach max cp then, 580 iirc. I'm 840+ now. No grinding at all.
I didn't play on alts until I reached max CP.

and yes most players who wanted to reach cap CP in a jiffy, they would go for Skyreach (befriend someone in the guild, higher xp and has knowledge about it)

I took me too long to reach the cap.. I enjoy harvesting nodes, fishing and doing writs :)

Just play the game. You don't have to grind CP on one character. ANY character you have that is level 50 will earn CP points. I've done Caldwell's Gold, and all DLC content on one character (my main). He's also the one I run in trials. I do the daily pledges regularly and am currently working on Caldwell's Silver on another character. I don't think of it as a "grind". In fact, while I was leveling CP, there were times I'd have 20-30 unspent points to allocate. I think I'm around CP 760 now. If you're constantly leveling sub-50 alts, then yes, getting CP may seem like a grind to you.

If you log off your characters in town, you'll get a buff called "Enlightenment". This is basically an XP multiplier that will allow faster XP generation. You could also use XP scrolls, although IMO leveling CP is fast enough without them.

Nothing special, just played the game and did the daily random dungeons.
I tried grinding levels with new characters but it's too boring and ended up just playing normally anyway.

This might be a stupid question but how do people have 1000+ cp? Isn’t the cap 750...?

750 CP is the allowed amount to be used as of the moment. The current cap I think is around 3k, but I'm not sure about that.

As some already said...just keep playing and you'll get those CP.

On a sidenote, 300k XP is not really that much. I never had such low EXP-requirements for CP. When they introduced CP you needed 400k for every CP, but there was no Cap. When ZOS introduced CP-Cap lots of people were already above this and needed like 600k+ for one CP (can't remember exactly tbh). So be happy to need that less CP ^^

Did quests, dailies, PvP, dungeons, trials, whatever I felt like doing

I didnt grind one iota. Grinding is too much like work for me
I play this game to have fun, relax and forget about real life for a few hours
If Im gona work, Id rather get a second job and make more real life money.

The USABLE cap is 720. Soon, 750. The max you can get is much higher. Idk if there's even a limit. I have nearly 700 on my EU acct and 880sth on my NA acct.

as far as i know max CP is 3600 I am not sure if someone reached that number, probably ask someone like @ZOS_JessicaFolsom or @ZOS_GinaBruno , but to be honest with you I am not really sure we will ever see the daylight of having them all enabled actually :((

Unless I'm mistaken, it's currently 750 and will be raised to 780.

Thanks, all. So basically even once I reach 750 I will keep accruing CP points (up to 3600) that I can only use as they if/when they raise that cap? I was wondering how so many people already had 750 the moment Summerset was released. Now I know! Thanks again.

No its not, max Usable CAP is 750 points (was done as part of summerset) and you can allocate 250 CP's to blue, red and green respectively. Will go up to CP 780 wolfhunter DLC when released.

Yup pretty much, so those with say CP 1000, as soon as Wolfhunter DLC is released with the cap raised from CP 750 to CP 780, they will be able to immediately distribute those additional 30 points.

Honestly just playing the game and grinding a little is how I earned my cp when I first started playing on ps4 na I stumbled across a farming location outside of riften I use to go there each day until I finally reached vr14 then when vr16 was introduced I still grinded there then after awhile more people started to do the same thing and ruined the spot so I quit but I was already vr 16 anyway so I decided to finally try pvp so I went into azura star and pvped and I never looked back some how I accumulated 1300 cp just from pvping I have never done any dungeons either or trials there are parts of eso I have yet to experience even tho I have been playing since 2015 when the game was released on ps4 lol I am trying to experience these things now that I have never done I've done all their is to do in pvp has two grand overlords characters almost 3 so pvp is just boring now and I've got emperor before so I would say the majority of the way I earned my cp was pvping a lot

as other said. just playing the game. questing, doing crafting writs, things like that. crafting writs in particular, i kinda do them obsessively (they are a chunk of my income among other things) and they level your cp pretty quickly and painlessly.

but general I never deliberately grinded it or tried to speed it up, at least not past 160. once I was at 160, I just kinda let it happen naturally.
