People Still Exploiting vAS +2 on Xbox NA

In the last month or so I have noticed a lot of people with the silver skin and yet when i check for their leader-board score it is non-existent and they have no clip on their xbox account of them clearing it. Furthermore, I have seen multiple instances of people offering to sell the skin for as low as 200k. This is incredibly suspicious because the going rate for a legit vas+2 carry on Xbox NA is currently 6 million gold. Please look into this. Every time you allow these exploits to go unpunished is a giant slap in the face to the end-game community and anyone that spent any time at all progressing the content. If you ignore this the silver skin will be like the maw skin, no longer having any value because so many of the people that have it sniped it.

Furthermore, the people that were temporarily banned in the last go around were all allowed to keep their perfected weapons AND their Voice of reason title. Everyone who was even temporarily banned should at the very least, have the perfected weapons removed from their account. I look forward to a response from Zos on this.

Lol I'm not sure what's more funny: that hundreds of other banned accounts didn't teach them anything, or that after 2 fixes of this trial Zenimax still didn't fix it

Not even in the absolute slightest. I am mad because people are glitching probably the second most difficult PvE fight in the game for the rewards and nothing is being done about it. I do not sell carries for the trial, as far as I am aware of only one guild that does it on Xbox NA which is why the price is so expensive.

And no, the second most difficult skin in the game to get should be a huge concern. These cosmetics are only special because they are exclusive. If you let people glitch it then the special rewards cease to be special and players and guilds will not be motivated to progress the content. Casual players may not understand this but every MMO needs a healthy end-game. Not policing your most difficult content and allowing it to be cheesed is a direct threat to the heath of your end-game content. The same people who are trying to fix the bugs with summerset are not the same people who would go and look for people who exploited the trial so they can worry about both at the same time I would imagine.

Don't know about you but the vast majority of players I've ever come across want to complete everything at least once. You don't progress through these for the skin you do it for the accomplishment of actually finishing it.

Do agree that it needs to be looked into tho, and actual perma bans given not just temporary bans.

I am not a casual player in the slightest~ I just feel you are over reacting and I don't believe that one guild is selling runs, it is definitely more, I know it is. Though Zos does not have an issue with selling skins so there is no point pressing it but I have no sympathy for these complaints at all. For I have seen way too many trial guilds cheese their way through Vet Trials that it honestly is just a sad joke. Especially when you have worked hard on several platforms doing trials with your guild and others, only to watch what should of been a challenge be a giant let down~

Honestly they should make the Vet Trials easier for the masses, so it would discourage sales and cheating. If you're good then you should enjoy that, want a challenge then don't bring 12~

I'm really disappointed at the sheer number of players in this game who need to either cheat, or buy their way to accomplishments. Buying a skin run, buying an emp run, sniping a skin...none of these things bring any value to your game play. I just don't get it...

Different players have different motivations for wanting to clear content. Clearly many people care about the skin if there is a market for legitimate carries. Either way this shouldn't be ignored.

On xbox NA i am only aware of one guild that sells carries for it. I have not heard of any others. Not nearly as many groups on xbox can clear vas+2 as compared to PC because we do not have the crutch of an addon that tells you every time you need to react to a mechanic.

I could not disagree more that content should be made easier to discourage cheating. That's like arguing that women should dress more conservative if they want to not get hit on and accosted by men. People should just not cheese and cheat in the content or ZoS should make their content exploit-free.

Making the content easier would just devalue the rewards. Half the reason to progress this stuff is the prestige in knowing that hardly anyone else is going to be able to do it. That skin and title shows everyone your hard work and determination. If you dumb down the content all of those rewards lose value overnight and it isn't fair to the people who beat it before it got dumbed down. I'm struggling to understand why someone would not want ZoS to police their most difficult end game content.

Xbox (possibly PS4 as well) is a distant after thought. ZoS has no clear or consistent stance on cheaters as far as I've seen on console.

I've seen people that had videos of them and their guild using out of map exploits to run trials pinned to their Xbox profiles. Those people are still playing today and as far as I could deduce never faced any negative response for their actions.

Bots aren't handled in any meaningful way on console as you only need one account and XBL subscription and all the accounts on your console can play. People just make an endless number of throwaway accounts to bot with and launder the spoils to a main account.

There is no in game mute/ignore function on console. You have to block/mute the players Xbox name and many times that doesn't work.

Our voice chat channels break and disappear fairly often with the only fix being to log out and back in.

We are an entire patch behind PC and still end up with issues that were in the patch as though ZoS did not address them and simply pushed the same patch through to console, bugs and all.

Trials were broken for a solid year on Xbox and it took the efforts of large guilds to get that addressed. Even then ZoS consistently said they couldn't replicate the problems people were experiencing. I believe it took them actually playing with those guilds live to become aware of the scope of things. A solid year of broken end game content.

Wrothgar was unplayable at launch on Xbox and the "solution" we were given was to not ride our mounts or sprint in the area, or to avoid it altogether.

People exploit the Cyrodiil and the sewers in organized AP flipping/swapping during events without punishment.

Crowns are sold for in game gold between players openly in zone chat.

It took months for the anchor bots in the desert to be addressed. In that situation a handful of three day suspensions were handed out but all progress and items were allowed to be kept by players.

Don't be fooled for a moment in thinking ZoS cares enough about an issue on console unless it obviously impacts the bottom line. The individuals at ZoS may care but they can't do anything about it.

Speak with your wallet does not work either. In games where micros or in app purchases make up the bulk of the revenue a miniscule number of players accounts for the overwhelming majority of the money spent. As such their vote counts as much as hundreds of regular players. (If I find the data again I'll post a thread about it. But essentially vote with you wallet doesn't work in online games)

In short make it known that these things happen but expect absolutely zero to be done.

Nope. Making content easier is the fastest road to making the game unbearably boring. If people want an easier game, they can go play Candycrush or Pokemon. This is a game made by adults, for adults, and it's not for people who can't handle working toward an adult challenge.

Perma ban? Maybe. What I'd do is strip the title, strip the skin, strip the gear and in place of it, put a permanent yellow (coward) skin in place that you can't remove and a permanent "cheater" title next to their name. By all means let them continue playing and buying things from ZOS, but cheaters should never get to keep the rewards they gained by cheating. If a skin and title are so important that you would cheat to get it, then your punishment fits the crime. You can never show another skin or title ever again.

My understanding is that it was fixed, twice. The exploiters have, apparently found yet another method to skirt by. I suspect the best solution in this case would be to check the clears by hand, and deal with the exploiters.

So apparently there is now a vas+2 snipe again, and a vCR snipe out also. Please fix this ASAP and ban and remove titles and rewards from people who sniped it. This is getting old and needs to be dealt with so this game doesn’t becoming a laughing stock.

They do bring value to someone's gameplay, though. Do you have any friends who focus on role-playing? Or perhaps friends who enjoy the game's aesthetics and fashions? Folks who focus on these things by and large can't clear the so-called "end game" content. That means titles and aesthetics gated behind this type of content are unobtainable to people who want them for role-play or fashion... unless they buy a carry.

Is the current exploit using out of map just like the previous? I don't quite understand why a second out of map exploits was even allowed to exist. After the first simply instakill players that leave map boundaries and force them to respawn at the beginning.

Granted that would involve them defining the map boundaries.

Also as far as I have ever seen or heard ZoS has never stripped fraudulently earned items or titles from an account for any reason.

I don't care if people want to pay to be carried via in game currency. I care when it's done via exploits and there is literally no punishment for those who take part even when one of the people records the whole thing and posts it to his Xbox profile.

You do realize that leaderboards reset after every patch. And since we’ve just had a new patch a few months ago, many people aren’t on the boards. So most of your accusations are false because you have no evidence to prove it. You’re just assuming because they have a skin and you don’t and they likely did it last patch or bought it last patch. You pve’ers are so cute.

This is the same on PS4. I was about to do a run last week when they “told” me how it was going to be done and I immediately left group. I didn’t report them and I’m wondering if I should—since I never stuck around to actually watch them glitch.

why do you even care how much money they make???? that makes zero sense to me. this post seems more like someones undercutting what your guild makes on it and you dont like it as you mention gold amounts. i really doubt their exploiting.

Low levels going around with the skins and offering to sell it for 200k is a giant red flag. Every person on xbox who beat this fight legitimately has a clip on there xbox profile of it because they don't want to be accused of sniping the boss. Furthermore, people in text chat have openly talked that there is a new exploit while also talking about the new cloudrest snipe in the same breath. Get your head out of the sand.
