PS4 second screen app - help

Hey guys not sure if this is the right section so sorry if not!
Can you use PS4 second screen as a keyboard for text chat? If so can someone explain how to make it work as when I press the keyboard symbol it just says “when you are prompted by the PS4 to enter chat you can use this screen”

✭Yes you can. You have to have the text chat selected on your PS4 in order for the app to register the keypad on your phone. The app will not register the text chat for you.Your friendly neighborhood crazy cat lady of ESO

The PS4 app on your phone can be used as a "second" screen. It essentially is just a control pad. You can use your phone as a keyboard for text chat instead of using your PS4 controller.
