QoL Changes - My Two Cents

Let me started by saying that I've played ESO on and off since beta. I pay for ESO plus and have probably 60-70% of the time since early 2014.

There are some quality of life changes that have been made recently that are great. A recent small change that was great is when improving items when crafting, Summerset made it so that this is already at the required amount of tempers for 100%. You now don't have to click 8-10 times to get to 100%.

Here are a few changes I'd personally like to see added to the game staying away from balance and stuff. I've seen all/most of these suggested before at some point.

Enable players to hide vampire appearance

There are skins already in game that hide this, so why not? I'd like more options on how my character can look. We can now disguise axes as swords etc.. Can't really see this being any different. I would pay crowns for this.

Make mount speed etc account wide

The WORST thing about levelling a new character. I don't mind undaunted, psyjic order etc but having to upgrade my mount separately is a bigger grind than anything in the game. As the game ages, people get less tolerant of a grinding like this for every character or alt.

Mementos don't last long enough/aren't valuable enough

Wild Hunt Aura and Storm Atro etc should last around the same time as food, if for no other reason to make them more valuable. Personally, if a memento drops in a crate or something it's a little... Meh. I'd rather have some riding lessons (see above).

Make more outfits slots hideable

Again, just more character customisation options. Let us hide chest for a musclebound nord warrior for example.

Alliance change token

Race change is already a thing. This wouldn't even change any passives. I started in 2014 with an all AD guild. Now a lot of my guild player on a different alliance to my main. I would pay crowns for this.

Make dungeon gear BoE

Trials gear I understand but think about making dungeon gear tradable or craftable (even just weapons/jewelery). I'm currently trying to farm for a Bone Pirate Bow and have ran over 45 runs in the last few weeks. A lot of players have limited time with the game due to work etc and I'd happily pay a lot of gold to another player for this or craft it myself without having to spend all my playtime farming it.

These are just my two cents :) Please don't flame me.

    As a relative newcomer, I'd add to remove the competition for resource nodes and chests: I mean other loot is instanced and I really don't see the point of having to compete for basic crafting materials. It's just annoying and makes the already rather tedious grinding even more so, especially when there's also bots thrown into the mix.

    Also allow the revision of a new character's traits within at least the first hour of their creation so once you realise you chose the wrong class or that their voice is making your ears bleed you can fix it without having to start over or buy expensive tokens.

    This is treated in the game as part of the character's skills. The character trains to become more efficient with his or her mount. Just like any skill in your character, except that you only get to train within a specified time. I don't see any problem with this and I have 15 characters. I don't even log them just to train for their respective mounts. I train them when I play them.

    In regards to the account wide riding skills. I would prefer keeping it per character but changing the cooldown so you can do multiple a day with increasing cost.

    New players(and poor players) can feel the sense of progression by doing a few riding lessons a day and the impatient can buy it all at once at the cost of a major gold sink

    more hid able outfit parts : there are tattoos in the game and there no point when you cant see them, whats the point of buying tattoos with crowns when you cant see them

    Alliance I would get behind if it was account wide and one time.... Otherwise it will just encourage people changing alliances to which ever one is going best that month, they also need faction lock outs..... tired of alliance hoppers

    additional suggestion, skyshard and lore book map markers... as a console player this is by far my biggest issue... Instead of playing the game im just staring at my computer and walking somewhere and repeat for 4 hrs. Its the most boring and tedious part of this game by far and its required to play unless you want no passives or half full bars

    This is probably more for endgame PVP.. If I want to try and level a different class there's nothing worse than having the slowest mount in cyro. You just can't keep up with a group. There are already boosts you can buy but these cost gems, so you have to buy crates.

    I like running dungeons but can't imagine why anyone would flame you for the BOE suggestion unless (a) it's used in PVP and is considered OP by some (i.e., you having it and killing them affects their ego, and they feel better thinking they only died because you were able to buy said OP gear), or (b) a PVE player that queues forever for dungeons (usually DPS) is concerned even fewer will queue for them if gear is BOE. Being a member of a PVP guild goes along way toward solving the former, and being a member of a PVE/Social guild goes a long way toward solving the latter.

    I agree with these as well. I have 15 toons and have fully leveled mounts for all of them, but am less likely to delete and replace one now because I don't want to start the 6 months of training a mount over again. I'd also likely to change my main back to a vamp but hated how he looked as one so won't happen without the ability to hide the vampire appearance.

    You can do this with skins. I would welcome a settings option, but if ZOS can monetize something in their store they will.

    Absolutely. The system is new, and we know how long it takes ZOS to work on things like this. I'm just thankful to finally have an outfit designer. But yes, belts and shoulders should be able to be hidden at least. If it were up to me everything would be hideable. If someone wants to run around in their underwear let them.

    Alliance change token The alliance war isn't as relevant to the game as it was at launch. The only place it really matters is in Cyrodiil. I would prefer that it take a back seat to the rest of the story and that players not be thrust into one of the three arbitrary, laughably static and even alliances and instead be given the choice of enlistment before entering PVP Cyrodiil.

    We're in an era of the game where many players have no idea who Molag Bal is or what the dolmens even are, much less events surrounding the Three Banners War. People might still be going to Cyrodiil, but I think factions mean less now than they ever did in this game. All most of these kids see is red, yellow and blue teams and objectives. Kill, kill, kill. Faction pride? not so much.

    So an alliance change token wouldn't really make much difference at this point. If there were a renewal of content and interest in the war (like instanced conflicts in existing areas of Tamriel) then maybe it would be worth discussing, but then the ability to change faction might actually do more harm than good.

    If dungeon gear remains as useful as it is right now, then sure, why not? You can farm open world sets that out-perform dungeons sets, so who cares if someone sells dungeon gear. The exception would be monster masks. Those were supposed to be special and difficult to get...

    I agree with everything except Alliance Change. Also unsure on Dungeon Gear being BOE. They were actually BOE a while ago, and were changed to the BOP gears we have now.

    Alliance Change Token would mean that the winning faction in campaigns would win more because everyone wants to be in the winning team.

    Could maybe have it so that the alliance change only triggers at the end of the current campaign? Then it should be neutral right?

    I wouldnt mind seeing the time restriction removed, I don't think it needs to be account wide.
