I'm kinda secretly hoping that since it's starting at 2 I can get back in and game in 2-3 hours, but I'm also secretly dreading that it will just be extra long double secret maintenance until like 6/8AM
*Edit - Also something to note. I know Tuesday's are a big day for games, but I've seen many of my installed games get updates today. Many more than the typical Tuesday...or any day for that matter. - Pariah's Pinnacle home and the Malacath's Chosen Furnishing Pack. These are returning items and should already be in the game.
- Double items harvested from crafting nodes and double rewards. I can't see they would need to go to this level effort for that, since this is not the first time it has been done.
Unless they removed this stuff from the game, or it is broken, and they added this event at the last minute, there has been plenty of time to get the Orsinium event into the game.
My thought is that this is related to the Midsummer event, not Orsinium.
Yeah, it's really unusual to schedule a complete maintenance. It smells like a serious patch for something.

No. Updates are on PTS for 5 weeks customarily. I am sure there has been an exception but probably no one that was for a shorter time.
We also tend to get a day or two notice and I cannot recall a time when all 6 servers received an update on the same day. Consoles are delayed due to third party vetting of updates.lordrichter wrote: »Things that make you go Hmmm.....
I know. Hmmm... There are different datacenters, so it isn't to do some datacenter work. Unless they happened to schedule it for both datacenters on the same day. Yea, my first thought was data center work. After a second I was like duh, NA and EU servers are in different cities. lol
Seriously. Zos has found THE solution to the performance issues in Cyrodiil and they want everyone to experience the exciting fix at the same time instead of having consoles merely hear bout it for weeks on end until they get the update.
Not to worry, consoles will still perform sub-par. After all PC must continue to feel superior.0 -

Yeah after I read this the other day I figured "duh, new rewards" and assumed that was definitely it. But since rewards unlocked a couple hours before the maintenance.... now I'm stumped.PS4 NA

✭✭All servers are down - not just the live gaming servers. The account system and ESO store etc are all down too. They do not usually take everything down at the same time, so my best guess is that means ZoS is doing something across their server / data centre architecture, possibly an infrastructure upgrade.1 -
