ZOS what is your statement in this?

Since getting into Cyrodiil is damn impossible (roughly 150ppl ahead in queue, which makes it for few hours of waiting) i wonder what is you statement as developer on this usseless event?

Some are playing 24/7 because of 2x rewards, and others can grab popcorn and watch... anyhow, ppl are saying this has been problem already past years...just wondering, how can you even think of same event and no changes at all to prevent this?

I have no idea, but this game in my opinion is sinking faster than titanic... and once players left, you will never achieve to build back comunity that you had...

Just saying, because with big comunity you all seem to fail on a whole scale...

Try a different campaign till the event lasts, had no problem getting into other campaigns other than my home. It's a loss but that's how it is, and don't fret the event is not going to last forever.

Most of the community is not pvp oriented - so ZOS will not loose a lot at all. And the game is thriving in the casual sector, it is crowded there with increasing player numbers IMO.

and then I wonder what you expected - PvP is already lagging at normal times, it is pretty clear that when an event like this is within a small time window, that even more will show up and queue will fill up and waiting times will increase. This is to be expected., so why does it make you wonder at all?

well there actually has only been one of those "past years" and they actually did learn from it and take preemptive measures to fix the problem you're complaining about. this time around they introduced 2 new campaigns simultaneously with the event, and said they have more ready if that proves insufficient. look up what "Kastav" and "D'Albei" are; they're the new campaigns. they're under "Campaigns" in your menu. on my server (i'm looking at it right now) they both have 3 empty bars on all 3 alliances; that means no queues.

the event hasn't been useless to me. sometimes it's a good idea to explore the options and resources available to you.

i hope you're able to figure something out here

Ok, in general i see that you agree with this and does not mind... im blown away...

But, i have ESO + and paying for this makes me wonder should i pay for this still or not.. if it does not make you wonder - then i see why ZOS really does not care.

Why oh why players that are ignorant about certain features like to post their "I have no idea, but it's going to sink" opinion?

Didn't ZOS create 4 other campaigns just for this event? Yes.
Are all of those campaigns always full? NO!
So why don't you assign yourself to one of those that has the least population and play the PVP game. Instantly.

Is this so difficult to join other, less crowded campaigns?
The longest queues (200-300 people) are in Vivec and Sotha.
Until event ends you can play in other ones.

right! ZOS does not care because they've already fixed the problem you're complaining about, and the rest of us do not "wonder" because we know how to use the fix that's been provided. i gave you some hints above, if you're in the mood for using your subscription more wisely.

PvErs telling PvPers what campaign they should join, is like a PvPer telling a PvEr to go run a public dungeon or delve if the Vet dungeon or trial they want to run has a 2 hour que. Sound like a bunch of clueless fanbois.

Actually, in the exact scenario we're dealing with, it's like waiting for maelstrom to reopen leaderboards by doing pledges.

And even that is farther away and less convenient, and happens once a week.

I'm a PvPer. My home campaign is PC/NA Vivec.

During Midyear Mayhem, I play on Shor for the lower queue and better performance.

Way I see it, I can beat my head into a wall, with Vivec's queue and crashes, or I can make AP in Shor.

You do,what you think best. I'm going to take advantage of the other campaigns.

PvE players suggesting join another campaign. That would be like if there was suddenly a queue your group had to wait in to do a vet trial but the normal version is always available. Except if you do wait in that queue, when you get in there is so much lag you can't complete the mechanics.

Been playing Shor all week. Never had a queue that lasted more than a minute. Not one single disconnect.

Get off of Vivec and come to Shor for better game play and less wait times.

I disagree completely with the OP. The event is not useless if you pick your campaigns as others have said.

The game is clearly not sinking and it is a bit cheap to make such a generalisation just because the queues are quite long for 1 campaign when a major event is going on.

I think you need a little bit of perspective. Yes it could be better but it's not as bad as you make or nor are the developers useless

I just sat through a 658 Queue last night with a buddy to get into Vivec... lol, it was 5hours of messing around in BGs until the queue popped.

The queue is horrible, I agree - but at least you are able to play BGs while still being in the campaign queue, so you're still able to pvp, get AP, and the midyear boxes.

I've also got to disagree with the OP:

I primarily PVP in Vivec on Xbox NA, which has had queues in the hundreds for practically the entire run of the event. Rather than throwing my hands up in frustration and claiming the game is broken, I joined one of the newly created campaigns as a guest, and almost never have a queue when trying to join. That was the entire point of these new campaigns, which, at least on Xbox, seem pretty competitive. You can also stay queued for Vivec while in a different campaign, if that's what you want.

If you've played in PVP for any length of time, it's also probably pretty obvious the performance in these slightly less populated campaigns will be better, too. I've probably had less crashes in Kastav during the event than the previous year of playing in Vivec while the event was not going on.

I hit a buck o' nine (109) in a pop locked 30 days campaign, and it was not 'a few hours of waiting.'

Queue, go do something else in the meantime.

That or pick a different campaign, as has already been mentioned. Not like you can't see the relative population before you queue.

Absolutely not. As someone who buys their content (and has spent about $300 over the course of the last year and a half on the two chapter's Collector's Editions and the DLCs), I'm never going to subscribe and I shouldn't have any reason to with the amount of money I spend.

There is such an easy answer for the entirety of the problem. While you are waiting to get into that high queue campaign, go in one of the newer temp campaigns. I have had some pretty decent fights in the temp campaigns while waiting to get into my home of Vivec. Yeah, some boring times too. But I'd rather be bored in a secondary campaign than bored hanging out in Reapers March or some other PvE area.

wait, so you're using the term "PvErs" to describe players who mostly run PvP content, and seeing these players give useful advice, and then saying they have "cognitive issues" (and also spelling something as "fanbois=)")?

faulty assumptions aside, the point remains that a player can skip the queue by going over to the open window. they can get every reward granted by the festival over there, and if they prefer to focus on their Tier 3 Rewards they're free to wait in line, just like always.
