Regarding the price of the new Illambris Arms pack

Its 2500 crowns for 5 weapon models.

Am i the only one who sees this as a really bad deal? The Tsaesci book too was 2500 crowns and that contained 3 armor sets and a full selection of weapons. These Illambris are less contents for more crowns.

Functionally the Illambris pack does less as it only allows you to make use of the style in a outfitting station and not craft it. I know its generelly irrellevant now, but still. Less features for more crowns.

These are among the highest-quality cosmetic items ever to appear in this game (and the other monster weapon styles are at least as good if not better than these, if datamined images are any indication). I think many of us are shocked that the price is as low as this.

How are they higher quality? Aside from a glow and permanent enchant effect they are just as good as any other weapons released since morrowind.

My pet peeve is the one thing that is keeping me from buying is that you don't even get a full set of weapons! No dagger, no mace/ maul, no greatsword, no 1h axe, no resto staff, also why no shock staff? Isn't that 1/2 of the Ilambris twins in the 1st place? They need to complete the set before I will consider purchasing again.

Yet again the pricing in this game is way over the top, another thing I will not be buying.

Yeah it's kinda expensive for just 5 weapons and only the flame effect. I mean where are the other 1 handed weapons and why no lightning effect to choose from? "this includes a complete set of outfit styles for ilambris weapons" pft

ZOS could of included the Head and Shoulders in the set for 2500 crowns. Not to mention not all the weapon types are included.

Oh. Just read this on the news page:

"Arms Packs include Outfit Styles for two-handed weapons, staves, shields, one-handed weapons, and bows. In the case of the Ilambris Style Arms Pack, it specifically includes Outfit Style pages for a battle axe, bow, shield, staff, and sword. Future Monster Style Arms Packs might feature different weapons, but they will always have a style for each weapon type".

So instead of letting us get the complete style at once we'll have to buy each "arms packs" just to get the different weapon types. smh

The message that's displayed with the pack in the store - "this includes a complete set of outfit styles for ilambris weapons", is just plain false......

How many monster sets are there? Like 32? So 2500 x 32 = 80,000 crowns for completionists. That is kind of ridiculous when:

    1). You cannot craft them.
    2). It is only weapons.
3). It is not even all weapons, just a few select types.

Usually ZOS have reasonable prices for crown store exclusive motifs/styles. But these monster weapons seem like poor value for the money.

Also visusal effects seems have limited time and sheathed weapons don't show you any effect at all as I understand.

    FOR 2500 crowns...

Took a chance, damn weapons don't even animate while sheathed. Garbage.

Being a completionist on cosmetics is just foolish. Of course such people will get fleeced.

I agree with the fact these are amongst the highest quality cosmetic offerings we have yet to see. However I do not agree with the perspective many seem to espouse that the cost is "low". IMHO the priceline for this pack was ridiculously high, especially given the padding out of the five items with a Outfit Token.

Had the price been 1500 crowns, I'd have been right on these items immediately, but as it stands at 2500 crowns? No way.

This community baffles me... The cost of pretty much everything in the crown store is outrageous... But people are obviously buying it, so they are going to continue to take your money... Basically they are charging you $25 for a few weapon skins... I'm simply amazed that people are willing to pay what they are charging for this kind of crap... There are a ton of great skins you can get for free playing the game...I don't care if the flames were always on...$25? Compare that to what you get for buying the game and the cost to do that or what you get for$15 for subscribing for a month... What would possess anyone to buy this digital Barbie crap in the crown store?

Same prices are so over the top in this game i felt 2500 was generous because its Zos.. People pay 3000 crowns to redo a character but five weapon skins at 2500 is too much... 1200 for a costume upgrade slot...

    iono...

Looking over the future (datamined) Monster Arms Packs coming up, I have to say I'm pretty disgusted that none of the flame/fire weapon animation sets include a greatsword. That's either just some serious laziness, or a major lack of forethought on ZOS' part, to keep using the same few weapons over and over again for the same basic element (flame/fire/lava/explosions/etc, or ice/snow/blizzard/etc, and so on).

If it included BOTH Ilambris brothers, not just fire guy I might have caved, but for half an already incomplete set, pass

Funny people arguing about what constitutes a 'set'... it's ZOS that decides what constitutes a set... and what they gave us is the the current SET for this package. The definition of a set is, "A set is a group or collection of objects or numbers, considered as an entity unto itself."
Just because YOU see a set as something else, doesn't mean ZOS is wrong in their use of the word.

I'm just glad, and looking forward to, additional sets in the future.

Gosh! When I wrote about this, 50% of replies just bulled me and told something like: "If you don't like it, don't buy it"
Quote: "Am i the only one who sees this as a really bad deal?" Not the only one. I totally agree with you. Good points!

To be honest, i just came back to ESO as a casual player (only got 1 main, level a new warden class, and my highest is about 50 champion points high). I have 7k crowns to use freely and already have the personal banker. I find these weapon skins to be horrible.

Honestly, they look like they are a level 1-10 drop weapon that has a fire enchant on them. They do not have any type of unique look to them at all. When i preview them i was very shocked at the lackluster of the model, sure they have a flame when wielded, but it doesn't look anything special.

Keep in mind, 2.5k crowns is around $20-$23, this is not a good value, i even wouldn't pay 5 dollars for it, id rather spend the money on a crate and have my luck at a mount.

well, as for me im keeping my 7k crowns until something better arrives.
