Once you reach lvl 50, you continue leveling Champion Points (=CPs).
Each CP you get can be assigned in your CP trees (Press + on your QWERTZ keyboard) for boni and passives until you reach the current max, which is at cp 750. That means that a player can be cp 866, but can still only assign 750 of those points.
Another feature: your CPs are accountwide. So if you create a new char he instantly has access to the CPs and when he reaches lvl 50, he becomes your accounts current CP. (e.g. char is lvl 49 --next lvl--> CP 166)
Edit: I forgot to mention that cp 160 marks the max lvl for armor, weapons, provisioning and alchemy. So many guilds set a cp 160 requirement because it means that you have access to the best gear.
