The struggle is real! Looking for advise from returning players who have found renewed interest

I have done it all and my interest in the game is slipping more and more. Cyrodil, battlegrounds, all dlc zones dungeons trials farmed 90% of all achievements and armor styles. I’m a grand master crafter have all skill points and skyshards found. I complete all new content in days up to a couple weeks tops. Iv been emperor. I have many very large homes. Every new dlc is more of the same and once a year there is some new mechanic to the game via new class or new quality of life add on. I love this game but I am steadily getting closer to retiring my eso account. I’ve played virtually every day since launch. So what have you done to renew your interest? What have you done to bring back your desire to play the game again?

I’ve taken breaks, but VMA, master angler, starting a guild, and trials all been things that have renewed my interest at one time or another. On the PS4 so trophy hunting, amassing capital and such too. I still have the one you mentioned hanging out there, Emperor, and its always just on the edge of my field of vision.

Flawless conquerer still a todo as well.

If I had both flawless and emp Id likely be in the same boat, having those two floating around almost a good thing in a small way. But Id then look to finish all PS4 trophies.

Once that was done max AP rank on my main.

Emperor is the one reason I threw in the towel for ESO's trophies. 150 platinums. 1000s of hours invested into 100s of games. And this is the only single one I've ever just said "f*** this."

Being Emperor is disgustingly unrealistic for most people. It's to a point where it's not even a matter of just skill - but also requires you to commit to poor health habits and having an entire server to worship you at your feet and take the keeps for you.

Too much reliance on other players, too unrealistically high of expectation both in-game and via real-time investment, too "limited" in chances over time, etc. Everything is wrong with that trophy imo.

It breaks my heart even more knowing 99% of people who do get Emperor actually don't give a damn about Trophies in the first place. For the first like 3 years of this game now, Emperor always sat at 0.1% while Platinum sat at 0%. Only recently Platinum bumped up to 0.1% and it just goes to show, this is a trophy for people who don't even trophy hunt - and it's the bane of actual trophy hunters.

I pray one day ZOS cooks up some 'Emperor for a Day" event or something where Everybody becomes Emp - otherwise I can kiss the dream of a sweet ESO plat goodbye.

I feel like they need a new type of content that takes a LONG time to achieve that’s engaging and not a boring grind. Iv almost got my 5 star but pvp has gotten redundant since everyone just runs around with proc sets these days. The procs wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for cp to be honest.

Why would you want to do that? If you don like playing the game anymore, why not just play another game?

Don't lose your hope! I also never thought I could do it, but it worked out for me. (And I am definitely a PvE player)
I just started playing on a 7-days CP campaign and realized at some point that I was within the top 5 players. It probably took me 2 days of slaughtering and capturing with occasional help of some friends who joined my group to get myself to rank #1 and then turning all the emp keeps.
Ta-daa! Damn, was I happy and relieved that I made it without some PvP guild boosting my ass.
