Maelstrom scaling

Does Maelstrom scale with CP? I can complete maelstrom easily with my max rank character but will maelstrom scale to my 160 cp character?
Played for about 2 years on Xbox and did everything you can do (-emp).
Still pretty new to PC-NA.

    Maelstrom is as difficult as its going to get. So your CP 160 character (or level 10) is going to play in the exact same Maelstrom Arena as your CP 660 character (though unless you have multiple accounts or didn't spend all your CP, I'm not sure how you managed different amounts of CP...).

    However, since success in Maelstron depends more on your knowledge of spawns and mechanics than sheer CP, people complete it on lower level or CP characters all the time.

    What CP scalling???

    You can complete vMA with magblade using just swallow soul on something like lvl15 character. The only problem that you will level 2-3 levels till you get to the last boss :smiley: all purple crafted items...
    PC/EU 800 CP.

    There is no point to do vMA before you reach 160 cp as you will get vMA weapon corresponding to your current level. If you complete it with level 25 and have 690cp, you will get level 25 weapon.

    That's because your character is scaled. Maelstrom stays the same.

    You can run Maelstrom with your CP 160 character and it will be the same difficulty as with your CP 690 character, minus the effects from your CP on sustain, damage, and mitigation.

    god, are all arenas/challenges like that?
    This was boring... I can't really understand why people want to have things like that in game?
