The passive and the skills are too good to miss out on. Sure you take extra damage from fire and Fighters Guild abilities but CP effectively negates the downsides. More regen, less damage taken at lower health, Elusive Mist to move faster and reduce 75% of incoming damage, and faster movement speed in stealth. Love being a vamp

Rp/vampires are cool

My reasons for doing most everything character development wise are RP/story. I created a character who was an Ashlander and contracted vampirisim on a hunt. Got banished from his tribe, found a new family in the Dark Brotherhood who would accept him as he was.

Too many dawnbreakers. The DKs kind of hurt too, but being dark elf I can deal with it better.

Also, health regen is nicer than people expect. Run CWC food and I have like 1k, so a 500/s hot. Not bad at all.

This poll is a perfect illustration of why vampirisim is poorly implemented in this game.

Players should be vampires because they want to be vampires, not because vampires give massive ve buffs that can't be obtained any other way. The vast majority of the endgame population aren't vampires because they want to be vampires. They're vampires because that's the only way to achieve optimal performance.

I honestly can't pass the passives. Extra recovery, damage reduction, and turbo sneaks! The fast sneaking really helps with magicka toons when I need to sneak. I don't think I've reduced my stage on any toons in eons, not since HoF HM. Lotsa fire there.

Both or at least one suits some builds fine. If I dont need a vamp for a build, I'll go for the pup. Slotting the ulti can be handy, and WW does not take more damage if its just for slotting.

If I was, mostly the passives. The skills...the skills didn't really grab me but the undeath and regen passives are great.

It's a combination of them being horrendously ugly, me not caring about their super-duper passives, certain people preaching their lungs out that it's "mandatory", and there just being way too many of them walking around. I can't remember the last time I saw someone who wasn't a vampire.

The poll does not have an answer for me to choose from, nor does it even have a generic other for me to choose.

My second character is a vampire because the game made it a vampire. I never decided to make it one. Just ended up in the quest for it, realized what the quest was and went along for the ride.

Essentialy I did every quest I came across with my first two characters and came across the vampire one with that second character.

Unless you’re going for high health recovery on your PvP character, and you’re not a werewolf, you should definitely make your character a vampire. The undeath passive is way strong- outweighs the negatives of extra fire and fighters guild damage and the extra stam and magicka recovery definitely outweighs the tiny hit to your health recovery - if you haven’t specc’ed for health recovery. Just avoid fire damage, turtle up if you get hit with a dawnbreaker and enjoy your massive benefits in every other scenario. ALSO, DON’T BE AFRAID TO PLAY AT LEVEL 3 VAMPIRISM if you don’t care about the stealth passive and don’t use any vamp skills. It makes the fire damage not so bad.

Vampires are ugly as hell though. I wish you could disguise it if for no other reason than the fact that you’re hideous.
