In 24 hours there have countless threads concerning the disheartening state of your game during this event. You've been kind enough to respond to threads about bugged achievements and new campaigns but have yet to make your presence known in one of the performance threads. Not only that but the Sticky thread related to ongoing issues was unpinned and buried right after the July 18th patch that was to fix all of this for the event.

Honestly, WTF? We're not just going to go away or shut up.

    Seriously!

IT'S BEEN YEARS AND PVP PERFORMANCE STILL BLOWS

I think ESO is the red headed step child to Bethesda and they don't care how much ZOS sucks at keeping it maintained.

Then you have their "combat lead" LOL who adds the dumbest crap you could imagine to the game.

Getting Wrobled is literally a saying

Considering the initial reaction to the game (Mostly negative, it failed to draw in the audience it clearly was going for, fans of the single player games because the dudes made a PVP game and nobody wanted that) and the comercial success since, with other titles, I dont really think they do.

To be fair....that previous post that was pinned was only addressing the issues that came out with Summerset, to which they have fixed. That's why that post was unpinned. They stated in that post that they were aware of the other issues, but they wouldn't be fixed in time for this event.
I'm not at all giving ZOS a pass on the state of the PVP servers, as disconnects during the heat of the battle can be quite infuriating, but I don't think they are not acknowledging the issues....they are just having one heck of a time getting them straightened out, and it's certainly warranted to be frustrated about them as these issues have been around for quite some time.

    There's a problem with PVP.

The problem is that we are having the same performance issues in Midyear Mayhem 2018 as we had for Midyear Mayhem 2017.

ZOS made two major improvements in the interim: fixing the cross faction queue bug and releasing the new campaigns at the beginning of the event. Those are good but far from sufficient.

But the lag, the bugs, the disconnects, the crashes...those are consistent, persistent, and have not been substantially improved in a year. Indeed, new bugs have been introduced, identified in PTS testing, allowed go Live, and some have not yet been addressed.

the problem with pvp in this game is the fact that it exists.

give MY POEPLE a pve cyrodiil and imperial city, or at least let us be able to be passive like gta5 online.

the sweaty tryhards hate this idea because when all of us carebears suddenly are not in the “real” cyrodiil, they will be facing an actual opponent who has a chance to kill them.

Hey, I'm fine with the idea of a PVE Cyrodiil and Imperial City, as long as all the rewards and achievements which are fully intended to be gated behind the threat of PVP are removed.

No Tel Var, no skyshards, no achievements.

I don't think that's what you meant, but I do think that the rewards intended to be achieved with the threat of PVP should remain locked in the PVP version of those zones.

I'm someone who started to PVP only because I got interested in getting those Master Angler fish and the skyshards.

That’s not why we hate the idea. We hate the idea because passive mode in GTA may as well be called griefer mode and it causes WAY more problems than it solves. Gotta love a passive mode that allows you to block a player into a store wedging the door open so your friend can lob an RPG into the store killing the player buying jeans. Yeah, that’s fun!

It sounds like the only thing you need is a lesson in grammar and civility, but yeah, we’re the sweaty try hards.

I'm convinced that the root of the problem is their entire business model of releasing a new chapter and 3 DLCs a year. Obviously, it's too much of a workload for the development team, however big it may be. When the focus is on churning out new content, then fixes and improvements have to take a back seat. I don't think it's the developer's faults, either. I think it's the higher ups that want to sell more boxes and engage more new players that are making the bad calls. Honestly, I'd be much happier with this game if we got 1 DLC/chapter whatever per year, or maybe even every other year, but with gameplay and bug fixes regularly implemented throughout the year, along with combat balance issues (sloads went unaddressed for 4 months since it first appeared in the PTS).

We all would but apparently the business model Zos uses is that they want more new players to join and do not care if the original players leave.

The message to check my 'internet connection', while internet music, coms etc continue to run, after the 45 min queue and only 10 minutes of gameplay, on a high performance fiber connection.... REALLY?!

How about changing it to something that acknowledges the system has never coped like 'your sub does not motivate us to get another server -byebye -but please do enjoy the next 45min queue and give us $100 a month to think about it'. And maybe add some elevator music...because that's how insulting your 'go check your internet' message is.

(& pretty sure I killed more than 6/40 players... fix the group bug on that please!)

Why do people even bother to try it. It was bad last year and yeah, they made promises it was addressed with Summerset except it didn't. It was even worse.
I am glad it great weather outside. I am redecorating my garden, and watching my Yucca plant grow is more exciting then Cyrodill slideshow.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

    Honestly, I wonder this too.

The disconnects outside of PVP have been really good lately (Aside from minor streaks) but then again I dont PVP like...at all.

But we knew last year was mixed at best, why do people just leap right back into it? I mean you all knew what was going to happen.

One thing I ve noticed is that ZOS punishes people who die and can't be rezzed or people who want to fast teleport and not use their mount in Cyrodiil. In other words, if you dont want to experience loading screens, avoid death and use your donkey.

Why do people still think that ZOS can fix Cyrodiil PvP? Correct me if I'm wrong but afaik ever since ZOS added new anti-cheat measures in the so called "Lighting Patch" back in 2014, large scale PvP has been a lagfest. Apparently some calculations were moved from the client side to ZOS server side(probably to detect if someone is cheating), and it seems that ZOS servers just can't handle it when they have to account for a large number of people at the same place.

Apart from moving those calculations back to the client side(allowing rampant cheating probably), reworking the game engine/netcode or improving their anti-cheat measures idk what else they could do to improve large scale pvp, since apparently the little tweaks they have made over the years haven't solved the situation which you can clearly confirm it if you go to pretty much any poplocked campaign these days.

The irony is PvP is supposed to be the "endgame"

It was never intended to be the "endgame" as you put it. Just part of it like most major MMORPGs. It is why, as typical of MMORPGs, two PvE raids were released about a month after the game was released. Both with leaderboards.

Yo, ZOS, Crown store is on fire!!
Yo, ZOS, I did a quest at the place no one visits, and there was a typo!!
Yo, ZOS, my new outfit has clipping issues, like couple pixels.

Now we all know 100 % we got their attention on this post.

They don't give a *** about PVP, but dear lord, crown store not working? They do miracles to fix it.
    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

I posted this in another thread.
My theory is that zos doesn't believe the cost of improving server performance is worth the increase in possible revenue from a greater player base. The cash cow that is crown crates with the average performance we all see in pvp and pve is making them enough money to be well and truly profitable without the need to spend more capital to accommodate a larger player base.

Honestly this event is absolutely unplayable. Disconnects to login screen with no error, cannot connect to game server errors, insane amounts of lag and delayed combat responses there is no hope for this game and its pvp. This even happens on the campaigns that have literally no one on them. Should just stop making pvp events if their servers cannot handle it. Or just flat out get new servers. I stopped playing pvp because of how bad it is performance wise. I thought "hmm maybe since they fixed it ill come back for the event" its still all the same stuff happening over and over. There was nothing fixed. I feel lied to because they said they "fixed" the problems but haven't done anything. Its as bad as its been since beta i hear. The only kind of pvp that's worthwhile is BG. I mean honestly maybe make a campaign that allows up to 100 of each faction MAX, then create more campaigns.. That would fix a lot of performance. The reason they have these issues is because their servers can't handle the amount of calculations going on (Heals outgoing/incoming, de-buffs outgoing/Incoming, buffs outgoing/incoming, single target damage outgoing/incoming, damage over time outgoing/incoming, resistance calculations, crit calcualtions).

How much more time we have to wait for the sprint bug to be repaired again @ZOS_GinaBruno ? It’s happening to my stamina friend once every pvp fight and 15+ times a day since Summerset. It is the most annoying pvp bug for a stamina player and I’m magicka but he has to withdraw from a fight every time it happens so it’s annoying me too :'(

    My MYM experience thus far:
Take my healer into Vivec last night. No queue because DC wasn't pop locked at that point. Head towards the sieged Aleswell; get in the side door. Lag out immediately, to the point where my toon was walking slowly blocking, even though I was not holding block. Disconnect. Log back in, "please ensure you have a valid internet connection". Login again, prepared to abandon him until offpeak time; surprised when it works but I'm dead, back at the DC gate. Exit Cyro.
Tried two 7 day campaigns but both were empty.
    Went into Shor.
Spent 2-3 happy hours with no lag, no disconnects, earning a butt tonne of AP.
Happy days! This is how PVP should work.
Ok, DC were outnumbered but we had some good fights.

But there's no point me even bothering trying Vivec again, sadly.

lollololoollloooHA good luck finding one where they do make their presence known. At least there are more people that see the people at zos for what they are. And im sorry if @ZOS_GinaBruno and others are just following *** rules of the higher ups, and not allowed to acknowledge the performance issue, but at this point it doesnt matter. It is every single employees fault that we get silence.

When you work at a job where thousands of people are being treated like *** maybe you should speak out or give us some real info. If every employee at zenimax is okay with how we get treated then every employee has a serious problem.

Im sure the employees at zos would be thrilled if the games they played had the same issues as this one.

But seriously, you have thousands of players going through this, SAY SOMETHING!
