Midyear Mayhem - Come to Kyne!

I'm asking everyone to come to Kyne for the event. Kyne offers some of the funnest PvP in the game.

I usually start playing around 6 P.M. Est and on the weekend I will be there most the day/night grinding AP. If you are coming to join us on DC side and need help or can't find a group you can group with me. Just type "Emily" in zone chat to get my attention.

I would love to see 3 or 4 bars on each side of the map. If you are confused on which side you want to play on, I would suggest creating a character on AD or EP.

I'll be there on my Orc Warden once I get the achievements out of the way on my main. Switched from EU to NA so need to get midyear achievements again.

Kyne is a fun place. I can't bring myself to constantly delete characters to stay there forever though.

Kyne is a joke.

Should be for truly new and inexperienced players to get their feet wet in PVP.

Instead its playground for players who has thousands of hours re-rolling the same nightblade build with golded out gear for every 2 levels looking for more newbs to farm.

I kinda feel like a coward when I do that... it’s like sandbagging.

I mean, they make non-champ instances for a reason.

Just my opinion tho.

Haven't been to Kyne in a while but this is pretty much what it is. Don't forget about the stamdens who have golded out asylum weapons too. The place is not new player friendly at all.

Or was that "not new player friendly at all" comment i made? I'm sure most the players who come to Kyne during the event will have a great time, but I know you can't please everyone.

I level characters in kyne because it is a lot more fun than grinding or redoing quests. Once they vet out though I don't delete them and start over.

I continue to play in Kyne because I find it to be the most balanced. In my experience, there’s still more fun to be found and far fewer cheese builds in Kyne.

I agree with this. I went into Kyne to finish out the last few levels on my magwarden a few weeks ago. It was ridiculous. Players just stood in my Northern Storm spamming CCs even though they had just stunned me and I was CC immune. No one healed themselves. Everyone moved sluggishly as though they had replaced WASD with a trackpad. I ran into a few players who knew what they were doing more or less, but for the most part it was clear I was just stomping noobs. I won't go back.

I would support a cap on the number of characters a single account can take through Kyne.

Very good point, I was generalizing and didn't mean to take merit away from your post at all, I apologize. I have rolled a DC stam sorc (I suck bad at pvp) and may take you up on your offer even.

Everyone is different. I like Kyne because like someone else said it is the probably closer to balance. Not many b.s. builds and usually good fights. Like someone else said though too, some players are just obviously new but that's okay... everyone was once. Once a character levels out I usually don't delete them, just play another character. It's why I also enjoy Sotha Sil too.

Best balance by far is simply the no CP campaign. Kyne is for stomping new players.. and nothing else.

I've had fun in Kyne. I don't run into those golded out players very much (and I don't gold out characters in general, DLC's tend to change things too much) but then again my life is very busy atm so I don't play for hours on end. I run into @vamp_emily from time to time, fun fights all around. I usually run in Sotha Sil, the no CP campaign too, lots of fun.

Ah yes, I must have been lying to myself this whole time! I’ve secretly been wearing gold cheese sets that make me invincible while I stomp noobs!!

Kyne has always been my go to campaign. It often has less lag, and no I don’t wear gold sets and use cheese builds to stomp noobs. I’m hardly a “leet hardcore” pvp player, and I simply enjoy the action in Kyne. But hey, I guess I’m just lying to myself about all that, aren’t I?

AD really needs some help. We are totally destroying them. Bring your AD guilds to Kyne for the love of your Queen.

I did notice a little bit of lag in the huge fiights, but nothing unbearable.

Only performance issues I had today were some FPS drops during the Alessia bridge war that was just going on :P

Lots of people on today, AD definately seemed pretty dead though

Pfff kyne, i only go there to get to alliance rank 9 for my lowbie toons. Bad ap, slow mounts, feels incredibly weak (mainly due to my refusal to craft gear for my lowbie toon and just wear the white gear you can pick up in your home base, by hey, why waste resources on not end game stuff) and full of wanna be pros who are too scared to go vet.

We need some more players in Kyne. AD/DC 2 bars, and EP 3 bars.

I played a little bit in Vivec today and I must say you will have much more fun in Kyne unless you enjoy lag. Yesterday I lagged a little in Kyne but it was only at allessia bridge. Our population ended up have 3 bars in each faction.

Come get some AP and have fun without huge lag.

I wouldn't say it's full of people too "scared" to go to vet. But it is full of people too smart to go to vet during this event. Best performance of any campaign.
