Question about champion points

I know this question sounds kinda stupid but anyway i wanted to ask it. I have main character which is around cp300 and i have one alt which is level 39. I know cp is shared account wide not on characters and i already spent cp points on my alt and my main question is this. When my alt hit level 50 is it going to be automaticaly cp300 like my main? And then i could continue leveling him and then later allocate earned cp to my main? I mean that sounds logical to me but if the answers is no i would like clariffication. Thx in advance for answers.

Malkorga✭✭✭Yes, when an alt hits level 50, it jumps to the highest CP level on your account
