✭✭✭✭✭Rework to spammableHeh, the 'knock yourself back' knocked me back once through a bulkhead of a ship into an 'inaccessable' area. Couldn't get out, couldn't 'stuck' because I was still in combat, couldn't kill or be damaged by foe. It literally took Zenimax intervention to rescue that character. I instantly changed to the other morph and never looked back.
That said, the other morph does not earn a place on either bar of my bow/bow char because the CC does not effect bosses and is therefore worthless in the fights that count.
Change the skill? Yeah, into a cheap, effective 28m simple instacast damage bow spammable where the only 'frill' is damage. For range dps maybe, but DPS survival device its just enough. It only sucks because the heal currently can't be used in a consistent manner unlike 2h or DW.
Either way I'm just saying with ZoS track record of "here's a buff but now here's a larger substantial counter nerf" it's best to leave some abilities alone. (It's not every day you can get a semi ranged 2100 Stam cc that can also heal you for BoL style burst heal while also forcing your enemy away from you. )Minno - DC - Forum-plar Extraordinaire

Either way I'm just saying with ZoS track record of "here's a buff but now here's a larger substantial counter nerf" it's best to leave some abilities alone. (It's not every day you can get a semi ranged 2100 Stam cc that can also heal you for BoL style burst heal while also forcing your enemy away from you. )
Absolutely the heal is the only reason I ever slot it. However timing that heal is pretty key to getting effective use, you have to try and work it to where you will need the heal and you won't be dodge rolling as it is incoming because that sometimes causes it to disappear.
Now I bounce back and forth, more Sorcs and NBS I'll running draining shot. More DK's, Templars, and Wardens I'll run Petrify, getting through block is an issue with most players on those classes. Which is why I wish it was unblockable.
The range isn't much of an issue in BG's and duals everyone is in your face already, but I could see it being a larger issue in Cyrodiil. I honestly think the range could be increased to 15m.
As far as buffing the reliability of the heal I just think they need to fix it the same way they fixed Obsidian Shard for DK's. As far as I'm aware its simply a matter of not enough people playing with it and complaining for a fix. Perhaps they could apply the heal when it knocks back instead of when the target breaks free. As it stands now, Ideally, I would increase the range to 20 m, maybe buff the heal a bit on the heal morph and make that more reliable. But if zos suppossedly nerfs it (which I hope doesnt happen) after these buffs and slaps on a cost increase to say 2400 or even 2700 from 2100, I would still slot it after there changes. I would say rune cage, but that should be brought down to a 20 m range too. Bow surviability is in the gutter when compared to melee stam classes and ranged classes auch as mag sorc and magblade, the only thing it has going for it is snipe, but people want that nerfed too due to server/lag issues in cyrodiil.Edited by JobooAGS on July 26, 2018 11:37AM0 -

Why? It's neither a DPS ability nor a DPS rotation friendly stun. It's a survival tool that's heavily impacted by cc immunity so much so that it's less attractive than similar abilities like rally or blood craze/quick cloak.
The correct change is to recode the heal on draining shot so you'll always get it when cast. Then change Magnum shot so you'll always reposition yourself back outside the cc immunity timer and only Knockback the enemy when they can be cc'd.
This way bow players have an answer to when players get into melee range instead of trying to water down it's only defensive mechanic to make it more attractive to one aspect of DPS PvP.Minno - DC - Forum-plar Extraordinaire
