Launcher patched but now says install

I really dont want to hit the install button, anyone else get this after the patch hit?

I personally do not get it, but if you are it means you're missing files or moved something, so you should just press it or move the files back.
Though if you didn't do that, you should also feel fine as it only installs what is needed

Estwing✭✭✭All I did was load the launcher and it patched with the newest update. Now it says install. I am not hitting the install since it will just try to download the entire game again, or at least that is my experience in the past when something like this happens.0

Tigger62077✭✭Glad I read this. I opened it, it said it was down. I closed it...and realized I had seen it trying to DO something. I figured it was a patch, so I opened it back up and then went to get my husband's patching...only he didn't have one and mine was trying to install...again. I've decided to make it stop until we see something more concrete.0 -
Just close the launcher and reopen...probably will be fine. Mine wanted to 'Repair' a lot! I decided to close instead and reopen...fine. Go figure!0

ok so I Patched the game, then closed the launcher...then I opened it up again and I saw the repair button... I repaired, and everything was fine until I restarted launcher again and saw INSTALL instead of Play... I clicked install, instantly closed the launcher seeing a new download about to start, then opened it up again. Now its trying to check the downloaded files but it takes like forever... 9% in 15 mins... it usually take 1... so wtf ?0

samulideSoul ShrivenWell, I tried to hit install, and the only thing it does, is that it informs me of having too little space for install. Which is odd cause I have almost double the free space required...

SK1TZ0FR3N1K✭✭✭Here's what I just did to bypass this launcher issue:
1. go to zenimax online file folder
2. Go to elder scrolls online
3. Click game
4. Click client
5. Click eso.exe

operative21b16_ESOSoul ShrivenOkay this is seriously starting to annoying me. With maintenance periods on two consecutive days lasting more than four hours each time, and now having to redownload a client that was already patched? If this was a free to play game, I wouldn't care. But this is a game where we've paid a box price AND are expected to pay a subscription. I'm going to try and be patient because I know MMO launches are never seemless. But if this pattern is any indication of their future performance, they are really going to have to improve their service if they want to earn the price they are charging.0

VonatarSoul ShrivenThis didn't happen to me, but it happened to my gf. She happened to press Install and her entire game files have vanished and it tried to reinstall from scratch. Very frustrating as now she'll have to download the entire game again overnight.0 -

I took 2 days off from work and retreated to my summerhouse for the weekend to play ESO in peace.
I am limited to 3G dongle with 10 GB monthly download limit, with no extension. Nearest town is about 150km from here...
I guess I haven't even realized myself just how frustrated I am at the moment.
Zenimax, please say there is a fix coming asap!0 -

cluelessSoul ShrivenWell sadly I did click install after restarting the client several times. It's 22GB that's downloading atm.
I don't know, send me a chopper with physical game copy on it lol.

Sadly the fix doesn't work for everyone
Especially If people hit install or repair before or did download a patch (the mysterious 5 GB one or 40 MB that I and others never had).
The Dev´s discuss the issue here,
maybe post your problems there so they can get more feedback.

Schmuck✭Yeah, it's a Zenimax bad; not Bethesda. Launch game from ESO.exe in the Elder Scrolls Online folder. Works...for now...0
