Duel Declined - Don't take it personally

As a fellow Tamrielian, I just want to put it out there that I don't always accept duels. Last night again I had to decline one. I felt kinda bad but I was busy with a quest on a new character. Usually I put my duels on auto decline when I'm questing.
The guy who asked me to duel, took it like a champ when I rejected it. So shout out to you stranger. You were a funny one. XD
I have encountered some players who doesn't like to be told no. Just a 1% in my experience but it does happen.
If someone does decline your duel, it's nothing personal and that person is probably busy or even doesn't feel like dueling. They are also playing a game just like you. They might want to get to a point or location just like you. And they want to enjoy it just like you.

Just don't let that spoil your experience or theirs.

I've learned the hard way - never accept a duel unless you are willing and READY to duel in the first place. Just because you happen to have PvP gear on doesn't mean you're ready. Remember, these guys who hang around busy wayshrines and duel all day always have their gear and CP optimized specifically for dueling.

I always message people that i want to trade them some gold to help them along... so then they accidently accept the duel thinking it was the incoming trade and i wreck thier surprised face.

My fave is when I've got worm on (so big floaty blue balls) getting ready for a trial - standing at a WS ready to port in, and duel request. Like really?

This is why I feel like areas around wayshrines, like x meters radius should not be duel zones. But I don't know how hard that would be to make happen.

I couldn't care less if someone feels slighted when I decline duel requests. I have zero interest in comparing my epeen with theirs.

I am set on auto-decline and if they happen to comment anything about being declined, I simply ignore them.

I never accept duels. If someone were to get mad at me for that, then that would be dumb. It's not like I ever gave anyone the impression that I want to duel, so if they get mad about it, that's their problem.

You should be playing a certain space MMO, you'd fit in well.

I always run around with auto-decline on simply because none of my characters are ever set up for dueling and I get tired of the spam when running around.

People rarely hit me up for a duel, one good thing about being CP1152. Little do they know....

Anyway, I do get a chuckle out of the few that do take offense as they shadow box me as I walk away.

For the record, I have never dueled and never want to. I have a few times accidentally asked for a duel, but I was asking for something else. Really, I was.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Let the invite timer expire, and let them know you are letting it expire. People get hopping mad over this sometimes, but they know inviting you again will result in more waiting due to the cooldown preventing more than one invite at a time.

I leave the auto decline off because some of my friends like to invite duels in random surprise places in the spirit of Cato and Inspector Clouseau which is fun.

You know they are desperate for their duelist title if they invite people crafting, at the wayshrine, or trying to trick people hovering by the Undaunted into thinking its their dungeon. Near an actual dueling area, I always decline if not interested.

The thing about this is, for duellist title - if someone just ask me I'll let them whip my arse repeatedly. I'm cool like that.

But don't bug me when it's obvious that I'm in healer gear and standing literally in the wayshrine waiting to go.

Ooh! What if I start offering EZ wins in duels for 1k per? Or like 10 of any flower? xD

    Is that exploitation?

Nope. You have something to sell and if the buyer accepts the terms all should be good.
