Siege as is ...

Give the changes ZOS has implemented with siege; they have accomplished their (assumed) goals (coming soon to a CP campaign near you):
  1. Taking a Keep\Castle\Fort with (at least) minimal defense is no longer a simple task.
  2. Taking a Keep\Castle\Fort with (at least) minimal defense is no longer a quick task.
  3. Getting more players involved with the premise of the ‘war’.
Often, multiple walls and/or doors are needed to be breached. This takes longer and more attackers are required (as the ‘2nd breach group’ needs to have sufficient numbers to dissuade the defenders from rushing out and overwhelming them). Also, there is the potential for additional attackers & defenders to arrive the longer an objective is lit.

Once the outer area is controlled by the attackers, they have nearly every advantage:
  • They have forward camps.
  • They have more available locations to cover every square inch of the inner keep with persistent siege effects.
  • The concession is that they do need to come in to take the flags.

Proposed suggests in addressing the siege advantage:
  1. Is it possible to raise the entire structure a few meters by adding a few steps of ‘platforms’ under the structures? This would raise the structure to a level above the height of the towers on the walls by a margin of preventing ballista and catapults from raining in from the walls. ZOS has changed structures in the past (the pillar at Aleswell is now a nub to prevent the double horse jumps into the keep).
  2. Increase the footprint of a trebuchet in order to not fit on walls, ‘tongues’ on the corners of the walls, and the towers themselves. An object (crates\barrels) may need to be added to tower tops in order to not leave a large enough footprint for the trebuchet.

Well the changes dont affect DC on PC NA, they rarely use any siege whatsoever and prefer light attacking.

That must be every faction then as the same is said for AD.

All one hears is the bows going off anytime you end up near the faction.
